welcome

Hello and welcome. We just got the wonderful news that our youngest granddaughter is coming for a long weekend. So, of course, grandma just had to make a welcome card for her. After seeing so many double point cards on Pinterest, I decided to give it a try. I kind of made it my own by gluing the points down on the front. Die cuts are Spellbinders Labels 4, sentiment was printed on the computer. Labels are popped up, circle punches are a small hand punch and adhered with Glue Dots. Pp is a piece I found in my stash that I think is from Stampin Up.

with sympathy

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for the family of our neighbor. We were very good friends with them, but now, he passed, and she will be moving to CO to be near their son. I’ll miss them both.

Flower was a silhouette I found online, and I printed the sentiment in my Hallmark program. Die cut is by Elementals #12-Ovals and Filigree frame by Frantic Stamper Inc. I recently bought some double stick paper to use with intricate dies so it’s much easier to adhere them. Hopefully I won’t be in need of a sympathy card again soon.

cross-fit

Hello and welcome. Time again for dear-old-sister’s chuckle of the month.

As soon as I saw the sentiment…“I have taken up cross-fit… I cross my fingers and hope that my clothes fit.” I thought of d-o-s because one of her granddaughters & husband own a cross-fit gym. The lovely lady image was found online. Edges of the white layer were cut on an antique paper cutter, then I used a cotton ball with Rich Razzleberry stamp pad to create a border.

stripes and circles

Hello and welcome. Today’s card, actually I made 2, are just because cards for our 2 kids. We usually send them a Valentine with little cash so they can enjoy a nice ‘romantic’ dinner. Well, this year we didn’t so they will be getting a just because card so they can enjoy a just because dinner.

All pp is from my stash. I decided to run the background piece through a Sizzix ef. I never embossed pp before but I kind of like it. Circle dies used are Stitched Circles from Die-namics. Red strip was run the Tiny Bubbles ef by Cuttlebug.

gLITTERY bIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our breakfast server. She’s a glittery kind of gal so just had to have glitter on her card. I had seen several versions of this card on Pinterest. For the strips I covered 1/4′ double back tape with glitter. Sentiment is from Gina K’s Birthday Blessings set heat embossed with Stampendous Marcasite Opaque ep. Flower is Spellbinders Tattered Blossoms. To my surprise I found a small piece of shiny pink cs in just the right shade of pink for the flowers. To get the right size punch for the flower center I used SU’s Owl punch. Flower is popped up. Inside sentiment “it isn’t the birthday that’s important, it’s the person… let’s celebrate you! Because she was recently married, I couldn’t resist adding “Happy first Birthday as a married woman.”

Thanks for stopping by I so appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Pocket Full Of Hearts

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is the last one for grand/great-grand kids this year. This one will go to our 13 year old great-grandson.

For the pocket I Googled jeans pocket clip art. Pocket was printed then fussy cut. So I could kind of tuck the hearts inside the pocket I just popped up the top corners. Pocket hearts are from Sweet and Sassy Thinlits by SU cut from scrap pieces of pp. Borders are a SU borders punch. Background is embossed with Cuttlebug’s heart ef.

Slimline Valentine

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for our grandson and I’m making a second one for our 17-year-old great-grandson. When I cut the red layer, I realized I had cut the card base 3 1/4″ instead of 3 1/2″ by 11″ so it’s a 1/4″ narrower than it should be. Heart dies used are Sweet and Sassy Thinlits by SU. Red panel and hearts were run through a wood grain ef by Cuttlebug and large heart is popped up. Small black hearts are from a small hand punch. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Scribble Heart

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our granddaughter’s and her boyfriend. Pp is from online, sentiment was printed in my Hallmark program, hearts banner is a Martha Stewart border punch, small hearts are from a hand punch then run through a bubbles ef, squiggly heart is Scribbles and Splatz die set from Tim Holtz. Hubby liked it so I guess it’s an ok card. This will be entered in Double D’s Heart challenge.

Sonic Valentine

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 5 year old great-grandson. When my granddaughter told me he was really into Sonic I had to Google it. There were lots of images to choose from. Image and name label are popped up. Name labels are SU modern label and word punch. Ef used is Cuttlebug Hearts, small hearts are from a small hand punch. When I flipped the embossed panel over to add the adhesive, I thought the debossed side looked better so I used that side.
