Turkey Headband

Hello and welcome. Today’s post is a headband. My daughter is a pre-school (3-5 year olds) teacher and asked if I could come up with a project the kids could do with their grandparents on grandparents day in Nov. Between Pinterest and Google I found a template for this pattern. After several times of resizing all the pieces I finally got the right size. After printing the head & face on scrap paper I traced and then fussy cut them. When it came to the feathers, I found it was much better to print on colored cardstock. The feathers and wobbler are edged with a black Copic marker. And of course, I just had to use googly eyes. The band is 1 1/2″ wide. I’m sending her the template so she can have the parent helpers trace and cut the pieces for the kids to just put together.

Birthday Snark

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my niece. Like me, she likes to make snarky cards too.

Background paper was found online. After rounding the corners, I edged the piece with a Copic marker so the edges blended in. Sentiment “You are far too special for just a card so please do keep the envelope too.” was found on Pinterest. A very quick and easy card.

Fall Birthday

Hello and welcome. The first layer on the card base was run through my crimper, pp was in my stash. Dies used, with no name, were bought on Amazon. I like the torn edge look of these dies. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. I can’t decide if I like it or not. Maybe your opinions will help me decide.

Field Of Sunflowers

Hello and welcome. I thought it was about time I made a split front card again. Field of sunflowers is computer clip art, sunflowers on fence are from an online coloring page. The flowers on the fence were colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. The top flowers on the fence are popped up. Fence strips were run through a woodsy ef by The Paper Studio.

Nice Person

Hello and welcome. Time again for dear-old-sister’s chuckle card. Image and quote–“I try to be a nice person but sometimes my mouth doesn’t want to cooperate” were found online. Image and word bubble were printed in my Hallmark card program, frame is a no name die I bought on Amazon. D-o-s agrees with it. 🙂

Fractured Halloween

Hello and welcome. I just had to make a fractured Halloween card. Background paper and paper for the 1/4″ strips were found online, fussy cut ghost was in my Halloween stash and popped up, bats are a very old wood mount rubber stamp. At first I cut the strips from a black spider web paper but thought they looked too much like snakeskin, so I used a lighter spider web paper.

Birthday Buckle

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our favorite servers. I wanted to try something new, so I found several tutorials for the buckle card on Pinterest. Cardstock is Pear Pizzaz, pp from a 6×6 book from Stampin Up. I didn’t really like the stark white panel, so I softened it with a cotton ball and Pear Pizzaz stamp pad. Circle is stitched circles from Die-namics and I embossed it with a Cuttlebug happy birthday ef. Slit is a no name die that was laying on my desk. Inside sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanksgiving Leaves

Hello and welcome. Today’s card will be entered at https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2024/08/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

Pattern paper was found online. The pp was embossed with a Cuttlebug Leaves ef but it doesn’t really show so I also embossed the leaves. Embossing folder used for the leaves is a no name one from Amazon. Leaf with sentiment was printed on the computer then fussy cut. Small leaves dies are also no name from Amazon.

Wood Anniversary

Hello and welcome. This card is for our granddaughter & hubby. Thanks to Google, I found out wood is traditional for the fifth anniversary. Panel was run through a Cuttlebug Wood Grain ef then lightly sponged with Crumb Cake stamp pad. Center heart frame is Stampin Up’s Sweet & Sassy Framelits also run through the Cuttlebug ef. Corner hearts are a small heart punch also dry embossed. It doesn’t show in the photo, but the center of the large heart is wood grain pp found online. Sentiment was printed on the computer.
