PINK SEWING MACHINE

https://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/09/just-us-girls-challenge-649-trend-week.html

Hello and welcome. This week is starting out with some very comfortable temps.

Today’s card is for our granddaughter. She has her own business where she makes corn wraps of different sizes. They feel so good either warm or as an ice pack. Since she sews so much, I decided to make a sewing card for her. PP and sewing machine were found online. For the sewing machine I Googled sewing machine clip art. Machine is fussy cut and popped up. Sentiment was printed on the computer and punched with SU’s word window and modern label punches and popped up. I edged all edges with a light gray marker to give a little definition. With that pp this should fit for the JUG’s repetition challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, I do appreciate your visits. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

yELLOW eYED sPIDERS

Hello and welcome. It felt so good here this morning, we actually turned off the ac and opened doors & windows for a few hours. AHH, fresh air.

Today’s card will be entered in Two Old Bats Halloween challenge. I chose not to follow the mood board this time. On the orange background paper, I used a cotton ball and black stamp pad to spook it up a bit. For me it’s easier to use a cotton ball than a sponge dauber or blending tool. Spider web die is My Favorite Things Die-namics, large spider is a Sizzix Thinlits die, small spiders are a Provo Craft die (both dies are quite old). Eyes are yellow Stickles and spiders are popped up.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Dreams

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is dear old sister’s chuckle for this month. I don’t think it’s quite up to my usual snark, but it will do. Inside says Keep Sleeping. For the pp I Googled sleepy backgrounds. I rounded the corners for a little interest. This was so quick and easy I feel like I cheated. Next month I’ll be up to my usual snark.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Sunflowers

Hello and welcome. After several frustrating days I’ve got my new computer figured out (sort of).

Today’s card came about after I watched a You Tube video. In the video she made daisies, but I thought sunflowers are better for fall. Flowers are from an old Paper Shapers punch that I used a cotton ball and stamp pad to add a little darker color to the cs. Centers are a circle punch that I used a Sharpie to add black dots. Stems and leaves were fussy cut. Twine was added for a little interest.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Birthday Stripes

Hello and welcome. Hope you’re having a fun Labor Day weekend.

Today’s card is for our grandson-in-law. While perusing Pinterest for an idea I saw this design and thought ‘that’s it’. Card base is Night of Navy cs. CS strips are 1/4″. Sentiment is from Gina K’s Birthday Blessings set stamped in Night of Navy. I also added strips to the inside. Very simple but I think he’ll like it.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Leather Anniversay

Hello and welcome. Finally, after wasting most of the week I’ve got a card to post.

Today’s card is for our granddaughter & hubby for their 3rd anniversary. I found out on Google that leather was for 3rd anniversary, so then I found a faux leather background paper online. I decided to make the card very simple. Cut frame is from the Silhouette, hearts are a hand punch, punched with cs and pp. Sentiment was printed on the computer. I also added 3 smaller hearts inside.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Pumpkin In Wagon

https://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2022/08/wheels.html

Hello and welcome. After a very fun visit to see family and friends it’s good to be back to creating and posting.

Today’s card is a Silhouette cut file. The wagon panel looked a little plain, so I added a score line and hand punched leaves. I also added score lines to the stem. So the pumpkin didn’t look so blah I used a cotton ball and stamp pad to smudge it up a bit. I kind of messed up adhering the green stem & leaves but no one expects perfection from me. This will be entered in Double D’s wheels challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Blue & White Christmas

https://peaceonearthchristmas.blogspot.com/2022/08/peace-on-earth-challenge-21.html

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for the Peace On Earth Christmas challenge. Snowflake embossing folder is from The Paper Studio. Christmas balls and ovals are both SU punches. Pp’s for balls were found online. Balls were punched from both cs and pp. Tops were punched from a silver textured paper. Sentiment was printed on the computer and ovals are edged with a marker and popped up.

Thanks for stopping by I look forward to your visits. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Boiling Bones

https://twooldbatshalloweenchallenge.blogspot.com/2022/08/august-anything-halloween.html

Hello and welcome.

Finally, I was able to get a card done for the Two Old Bats Aug. challenge. The skeletons in the mood board are what I picked up on. For the background I masked the circle for the moon, then used a cotton ball and Not Quite Navy stamp pad to make a somewhat spooky background then tore the edges. Pot and skeleton are from the Silhouette, ghost, bat and small skeleton head are from an old Provo Craft die. Bat, ghost and large skeleton head are popped up. Bats eyes are yellow Stickles. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the googly eyes. Grass is a MS punch. For the bubbly water I printed off a black & white pot of boiling water, cut out just the water and used a cotton ball and green stamp pad to color it.

Thanks for stopping by, it means a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
