Tiki Time

Our grandson’s vacation card after a super freshman year in high school. He played two high school sports and had straight A’s in all his classes. I was looking for a tropical vibe for his card and found this old Stamp Oasis Party Tiki red rubber stamp. After stamping and coloing, I added Hero Arts Beach Frame fancy die to the front and cut apart a sentiment from a stamp set that was gifted to me. The last think he shared with me before leaving for vacation was that he won a bet with his dad and is owed a Hulu Pie from Duke’s.

I have been thinning out my supplies and am glad that I kept this fun stamp and decided to ink it up. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and make it a great day!!

Vacation Begins

Unfortunately, I’m not the one on vacation but the grandkids are finished with school and taking a break from their sports and headed to Hawaii with their parents. They finally arrived after a four hour delay in Dallas and I’m sure they are snorkeling or trying their turn at surfing. This card was for our granddaughter and uses a Cuttlebug embossing folder, patterned paper from my stash, Hero Arts Seashells fancy dies and the sentiment from a stamp set gifted to me. I think it should fit the requirements for the sketch challenge which I switched around a bit but if it doesn’t it was still fun to create. And the best thing is that I finally like the seashells that I added. LOL!

Peaceful Pastels

I do love patterned papers and this Divinity Designs Peaceful Pastels paper pad is just lovely with perfectly in the Taylored Expressions Arched Nouveau die sets. The background Diamonds Piercing plate as well as the butterfly and sentiment are also Taylored Expressions. I fell in love with these papers and made serveral cards in a varient of cardstock colors.

I Do!

A bit of Halloween fun with my card today. I was looking for a stamp set of my favorite “couple” Frank and his bride but could only find Frankenstein stamps. However I did find this crystal ball ephemera in my stash and decided it would work well with the inspiration board of the June Challenge. My background was inked using Tim Holtz Wilted Violet, a bit of Dusty Concord and some Black around the border. In my stash I found web stamp and stamped behind the crystal ball. But I wasn’t that thrilled with the look and die cut Hero Arts Leaves & Vines Fancy die in black cardstock. Much more complete in my eyes.

Embellishment Wishes

There seems to be a lot going on with this card from the Taylored Expressions debossed side of Flower Fields embossing folder swiped with blue ink, TE Simple Stems flower, TE All Planned Out 2 die and TE Dragon Tales. The dragonflies were added as my embellishments for this challenge. Just to play it safe I added a gem to each of them.

Window View

A nice scenic view from a window (not mine — LOL) was made using Taylored Expresssions Picture Perfect Create in Quads Layering Stencils Combo Club, Windows to the World cutting die. This is one of the four images that the create in quads layerintg stencils creates.

I have been attempting to use all of the products that I ordered in recent months and use them on projects so I can clean up my messy “elf room”. It’s definitely a challenge but am hoping to get organized soon. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and make it a great day.

Splatter Spatter

Adding black splatter to my card helped cover up an inky smudge on my blooms. I first tried adding extra color to the flowers with colored pencils as a cover up but the splatter seemed to have done the trick this time. My card uses Tayloredf Expressions Flit & Flutter create in quaed stencils, A2 Postage Stamp stacklet dies and Edgy Strips ZigZag dies from the May Combo Club.

B&L Butterflies

A color challenge of black and white led to me use this large Taylored Expressions Time to Fly background stamp inked multiple times in a varriety of black inks until I finally had a clear transfer. The background stamp dooes come with stencils which I did not use but rather die cut SimonSaysStamp Whirl Butterflies in white shimmer paper from Michael’s, added an oval die cut piece of vellum and a layered hugs sentiment from my stash. The scalloped frame is TE’s Frame in Frame 2 cutting plate set.

Colorful Options: May 2026 Challenge of Black and White

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. We are still in weather extremes with mid 90’s for a few days then dropping into the 60’s with lots of rain. The unofficial start of the summer season during our Memorial Day weekend is getting off to a chilly start. Remembering those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to our country to preserve our freedoms this weekend. Take care and make it a great day.

Berry Fun Fold

EDITED: Where is my brain? Our Buddy, Johanna, posted a card on May 1st using this M Fold technique. My apologies for not tagging Johanna on this fun fold share.

After seeing this fun fold several times on Pinterest, I decided to give it a try. I decided on some Gina K Designs Pure Luxury patterned papers, You’re The Sweetest stamp set and Tiara frame for my card today. It’s a bit tricky to open and close but I have been practicing. I believe the tutorial I found was from a Stampin Up designer but I forgot to save the link.
