With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Sympathy cards are never easy to do but today’s card was really a tuff one. This is for a good family friend who’s 43-year-old daughter committed suicide. I just can’t imagine how difficult that is to deal with.

Embossing folder used is Textiles by Cuttlebug and flower dies are Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, label die is Rose Garden Thinlits by Stampin Up. After cutting the label I realized there was like a debossed frame outline left on the cs so I thought why not cut one in black then fussy cut the frame and lay the white label inside it. I hope you can make sense of that. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time and any comments you might leave. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

  1. Oh, Gerry, I’m sure your card will bring comfort to your friend. So sad for the family and friends. Hugs.

  2. That is awful news for the family to bear. I’m sure this card will bring some comfort knowing you care. Its pretty even though for a sad occasion.

  3. What a sad occasion for a sympathy card! In the last week I’ve made 9 sympathy cards–too many needed! Seems especially difficult to lose loved ones around the holidays. Barb

  4. Pretty card that will bring comfort. It is difficult when this happens to someone you know or a family member. My cousin’s son did this and it was difficult as I remembered him as a little boy, then an adult. He was around the same age as this man. Glad you are there to comfort your friend and allow her to grieve.

  5. Sympathy cards are always hard but for an event like this even more so. There is nothing one can say to take away they heartbreak, but your thoughtfulness in sending the card will surely bring comfort.
