Beach Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card was started last week with some input from my daughter. She picked out a little beach girl from an online coloring page, but my fingers were not cooperating with coloring. The arthritis in my fingers has been pretty nasty lately so I’ve been wearing compression gloves most of the time and using markers doesn’t work too well. So, I looked for beach girl clip art on the computer. Puppy was in my stash. Girl and puppy were fussy cut, clip art beach ball was punched with Stampin Up’s 1 1/2″ circle punch. I printed Happy Birthday on the ball before punching. Sky was made using a cotton ball with Soft Sky stamp pad and a handmade paper cloud template. Ocean background paper was in my stash. To tear the wavy edge, I used an old tearing tool from Stampin Up. Paper for the sand was found online and I tore the top edge. Since my daughter helped me with the layout but I didn’t finish the card while she was here I will send this to her for her birthday.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and try to stay out of the heat.

  1. Adorable image and a good job of fussy cutting. I know exactly how your hands feel!

    1. Thank you Johanna. It’s not always easy using our hands but we have to keep trying, don’t we?

  2. Super cute beach scene! Thanks so much for joining our challenge at Double D!
