Bee Awesome

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges Challenge #8 is Summertime Buzz. I was thrilled to learn and be inspired by all of the designer cards for this challenge but most especially by our Stamp Buddy Lisa K’s card. Lisa is a guest designer for this challenge and her card is awesome. For my card, I cut some yellow and black strips of cardstock and adhered them to a piece of copy paper then stamped my image from SimonSaysStamp’s Bee Yourself stamp set. I wasn’t quite sure on how to incorporate the dragonfly twist but decided on sponging in some clouds using Inky Antics Cloud Stencil for my background. Dragoflies are Gina K Designs’ Dreams Take Flight stamp set.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, be safe and stay COOL!!

  1. Love your bee! The yellow and black stripes are wonderful for the bee to fly around. The clouds are perfect for the dragonflies to fly around. Thanks for the compliment on my card. I appreciate the support.

    1. Thanks, Bonnie, I wanted to add a dragonfly inside the wing of the bumblebee but my bumblebee was too small and my dragonfly was too large!!

  2. This is awesome. Great cloud background for the dragonflies and the black & yellow is a perfect background for the bee.

  3. You always manage to find a creative way to add dragonflies to your creations for this challenge blog. Love the way you did this one. Fabulous design.

    1. Thanks, Johanna, I like to play along with the twists but I made need to look for smaller dragonflies to tuck them into more inventive places.

      1. That is why I found those tiny ones online and fussy cut them for my mardi gras mask. They are there but not taking away from the rest.

  4. I love the dragonflies! Totally cute and adorable bees! Awesome card! Thanks for playing with us at Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge! Nan, DT

  5. Such a sweet card – love the dragonflies you’ve added.
