Daffodil Thanks

So thrilled that the Power Poppy blog is back and sharing ideas and inspiration. The current challenge is April Flowers Bring May Flowers, so I had to color an image.

I used the new Sketches of Spring Vol. 1 digital image. These daffodils are so pretty and fun to color with the sketch lines drawn by Marcella Hawley. When I color this again, I plan to change the buds color and the large flower behind the daffodils. This time all of the flowers are colored in yellow and orange tones. I used a variety of alcohol markers on this image. I enjoyed taking the time to color.

This card will be used for my monthly Crafter’s of Faith challenge card at SplitcoastStampers. This month the verse is 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. The challenge is to make a card giving glory to God. I believe all nature gives glory to God, so this image is perfect.

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Thank you! I needed an escape so I colored. I tried giving it a bit of dimension by popping up the centers, but it is really not visible in the photo.

  1. Lisa this is lovely! The blue background makes all the yellow blooms pop! Such a lovely way to show off a mono-chromatic bouquet! Thanks so much for joining us at The Blossom Challenge with Power Poppy!

    1. Thank you! I was struggling with this month’s challenge, then saw this image sitting there waiting for me to color so it came together.

    1. Thank you! I really like this image. I just finished a few have to cards for SCS, so I am eager to sit and color more Power Poppy images. I may try other paper in my printer and see how it goes.
