March Cards

I thought I would share a few cards that were made with no blog challenges in mind.

Double Embossed Hello

This card was made using double embossing. There was a challenge last week at Splitcoast Designs to give this a try. I used a Paper Studio Brick embossing folder first, then used a Crafts Too Blossom folder. I applied ink to the florals with a sponge dauber as well as the leaves. Then I used a q-tip to apply ink to the floral centers. I am sure these are hibiscus flowers which come in all colors. I sponged a bit of gray to the bricks. The hello is from Gina K Designs that came in a stencil kit. I really enjoyed creating this card.

Butterfly Window Birthday

This card was created for the Featured Stamper challenge on Sunday. I used butterflies like the card I CASED, but I added patterned paper behind my butterflies. This paper is from GKD Sending Love. I used a very old embossing folder, Spellbinders M-Bossibilities called Garden Delight. It is probably 15 years old and used very little.

Thanks for sharing in my latest creations.

  1. Beautiful cards, Lisa. The double embossed card is really gorgeous with all of the intricate inks added to the embossed images. I did have to laugh because my sister who started following the Buddies blog told me she loved my card. I didn’t have a clue which one she meant so she sent it to me by email. I laughed and told her the card was yours Lisa, but I would let you know that she likes these two cards, too.

    1. Thank you! Glad your sister is following even though she thinks you made all of them. I had fun with the double embossing and adding the ink. I want to find more folders that will work well together. Thanks!

    1. Thank you! I am sure I have butterflies with the antenna, but I used the ones I knew exactly where they were located. I enjoyed creating it.

  2. These are lovely Lisa. I especially like the double embossing as the detail on that card is quite amazing.

    1. Thank you! I enjoyed creating that card. I am getting ready to send it to someone for their birthday soon.
