Halloween is not really my jam, but I do usually make a card for my husband. Since Halloween is the word of the week at Just Us Girls I decided to get his card done early to save my usual last minute scramble. The pumpkin is part of the Jack O’ Lantern Fancy Die set by Hero Arts, cut from an orange scrap and brushed with Tangerine Twist. All stamped images inside and out are from Haunts and Harvest by Gina K Designs. After working on the layout, I decided the background was too plain. The Spiral Petals stencil by Hero Arts brushed with Soft Stone ink was the closest I could come to a spider web. For the panel that will go on the inside, I stamped the ghostly trio in Soft Stone to give them an ethereal look, then stamped the sentiment in Obsidian. I’m also entering this in the Mod Squad Challenge – Pumpkins Pumpkins everywhere.

Cute! I like the pumpkin you created. The ghosts are nice touch on the inside.
Spooky without being too scary. Fun take on a spiders web.
Thanks Bonnie. I’m glad stencils are coming back in popularity. They’re so versatile.
So cute! Love your spider web!
Thanks Diana. I was amazed at how well it worked as a spider web.
Thanks Lisa. I just got the Jack O’ Lantern set and the pumpkin was the perfect size for the cat.
Judy, I LOVE how you did the spiderweb!!! What a great way to improvise that is just perfect. The card is really cute.
Thanks Golda. I was pleased how my improvised spiderweb worked
Love your very creative spiderweb background. Using that spiral stencil was the perfect background for your pumpkin and sweet black cat.
Thanks Gayle. I’ve had a lot of fun with stencils and was really pleased how this worked out.
