Twinchie Take Two

AAA Cards Game #194

The challenge at the AAA Cards is a Twinchie + optional twist Christmas in July! What’s a twinchie you asked? Well thankfully it was explained in the challenge as a square, circle or hexagon up to 2″. In addition to the CAS Twinchie everything should be contained within the 2 inches including the sentiment and no added mat or layer outside of the twinchie. That is the reason that this is Take Two! My original card I die cut my 2 inch circle from the layering mat and I believe that may have been a violation!!! So I went back to the drawing board and added my two inch twinchie circle to the top of my card base,

Here’s my original card:

Both cards use SU’s Wonderful Winterland stamp set and sentiment is Penny Black’s Christmas with Mimi. Spellbinder’s nestabilities circle die was used to create my twinchie and on the top card I couldn’t resist adding some “snow” with SSS large falling snow stencil. The bottom card I used cuttlebug’s snowflake embossing folder.

Hopefully, I have the recipe for my twinchie card correct the second time around. These challenges do get my brain thinking in a direction I don’t usually process but it’s fun to keep on trying.

Hope everyone had a great day. Thanks for stopping in for a peek.

  1. Sweet twinchie, love the fun image. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too. Stay safe and keep crafting!

  2. I like both of your cards! Whether or not the bottom one fits the rules, it’s a great card with only the 2” decorated. That sounds like a difficult challenge, but you rocked it, twice!

  3. Awwiii.. they are sooo cute! I love the coloring and your choice of the sweet images for the twinchie challenge. Thank you for joining us at AAA Cards. Hugs ~ Ishani.
