The current challenge at As You See It is a Recipe for Him – a masculine card using an embossing folder, twine, a die cut and earth tones. Grass Green panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug Leafy Branch embossing folder. The leopard, branch and sentiment are from My Monthly Hero Kit for May 2019. The sentiment is embossed in white on Dark Chocolate. The mat is also from Dark Chocolate, on a Kraft card base. The twine was thicker than I wanted and try as I might I couldn’t get the bow to lay just the way I wanted. In all my tying and untying it started to unravel, so I just pulled it apart to get a thinner strand. I finally decided a knot would work better than a bow so that’s what I went with. I’m also entering this in the Just Us Girls Word Week Challenge which is Animals.

Unraveled twine is the perfect solution. Not sure a gentleman would have liked the bow anyway. Your green embossed is such great backdrop for the killer card.
Thanks Bonnie. I did have a cute little bow, but decided the knot would work better for a guy card. Glad you liked the EF. I really struggled getting it to show in the picture.
Judy, this is a wonderful card. That twine is just the right touch. Beautiful coloring of the stamped pieces, as well. I think you nailed the challenge. I agree with Bonnie that the knot is a great masculine touch. Sometimes it’s nice to have mishaps (unraveling twine) turn into something even better.

Totally inspired by your card, Judy. The beautifully colored earth tone colors used on your leopard and branch on top of the embossed layer is gorgeous. I’ve been stuck on this challenge but you exceeded this challenge with your card.

Beautifully coloured my friend. The green panel behind the main images makes them pop really well. I also like the knot rather than a bow with this twine. Sometimes I think this type of twine isn’t meant for a bow. I have this same Hero Arts set and I love to use it.
Thanks Johanna. I did get a pretty good looking bow, but just couldn’t get it lay right on the card, so the knot worked. I’ve really enjoyed using that set.
