The challenge with The Sisterhood of Crafters blog is a Shaped Projects challenging us to create anything but a rectangle shaped card project. I started with a regular A2 rectangular card then added the curved shape using Pretty Pink Posh eyelet border die. After cutting through both layers of the card base, I created the same layer using some plaid patterned paper. My Little Reindeer is a Gerda Steiners Designs stamp set which was colored in using some SU colored pencils. The image was fussy cut and mounted on a Spellbinders nestabilities circle die and I curved the two sentiment strips for the front and inside is rest of the sentiment Christmas along with a bird and penguin. Cute set and a fun challenge. Of course I smudged the “HAVE” a bit. The yellow star above Little Reindeer was hanging and glued down to the same location as the “have”. I should have attempted to remove the glue a little better but oops…accidents happen.
A fun challenge and I won’t show my first attempt using a tee-pee card…..turned out ok but with no rhyme or reason to it.
Happy Thanksgiving 2020! A year to remember or maybe forget!
Please stay safe.
This is a cool shape for a card, and doing it as a double layer looks awesome! And I love your adorable reindeer image and the way you curved your greeting. (I didn’t even notice the smudge.)
Thanks, Lisa, I appreciate your comments. The reindeer is really cute, isn’t he.
Fantastic take on the challenge. Your elements sing the holidays. Very clever to curve the sentiment strips.
Super cute reindeer! Love this shaped card.
Thanks so much Lisa. I appreciate your commenting and support.
That little Rudolph is just too adorable. Love the shape of the card. Like Johanna said to me, handmade means not perfect.
LOL..you are right about handmade. Hugs.
Didn’t notice the smudge myself, and I think the shaped elements here work beautifully. This is a wonderful take for the challenge. The Rudolph image is so cute.
Thanks Johanna. I always need cute images for my little buddies.
Awww, this is so cute! Love your shape, as well as the image.
