With the current Mod Squad Challenge being pumpkins and the Double D Challenge being wreaths, I decided to combine the two. Using my MISTI made this fit a third challenge at Split Coast Stampers.

I love Susie Moore’s work and found a card she created for a blog hop a few years ago, using the GKD Autumn Wreath Builder stamp and stencil set, so I followed her design. I added acorns to my wreath where she had leaves, but she added shading to her pumpkins with alcohol markers. I have never added marker shading to inked images, so this was fun to try. I used GKD inks and Memento Rich Cocoa for the stamping. The cardstock is GKD Heavy Base White and SU Tangerine Twist. I am pretty low on other orange colored cardstock and there is 2 reams of this retired color, so it is being used heavily. The greeting is from Power Poppy Feeling Fall set which is retired, but you can find several of the images in digital form.

Lovely fall wreath.
Thanks Judy! It was enjoyable to create.
Love your colorful wreath! The shading you added to your stamped images with the markers looks great!
Thanks! It was a first for me and was pleased with the results.
Great fall wreath using the wreath builder set — fun colors and love that orange cardstock and your layering.
Thank Gayle! I was looking for a lighter colored cardstock, but only found 1/4 of a sheet. Then I went looking through the retired colors from SU, which my Mom had a lot of. She had 2 full reams of this color, so it is the winner. I do like the color and their is ink to match, if I remember to get it out.
Tangerine Twist is a great color card to use this time of year, so it’s a good thing you have lots of it. This card is really pretty. I like your shading with markers, too. That’s a great idea. Those green pumpkins are a fun idea, too!
Thanks! Yes, Mom had a lot of this color. It is pretty.
Love your wreath!
Very pretty, colorful fall wreath. Your shading really looks good and I like the acorns.
Thanks Gerry! I wanted to add acorns as I have a yard full of them. They were easy to color and helped balance the greeting color.
OK, now I am actually dizzy from going round and round. Very fun and love the colors.
Thanks! I love Autumn and the colors are so enjoyable to create with.
OH WOW … this is different and fabulous! Well done! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Wreath’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
