I have been busy the last several days off and on, making birthday cards. These cards were created in trying to find the perfect card for my pink, sparkle loving daughter. Her birthday was on Monday and she turned 21.

While this card is festive and pink, it didn’t scream my daughter. I used Echo Park patterned paper and Massive Messages by Gina K Designs.

This card was created with The Stamps of Life product. I watercolored each of the images on Bristol paper using a water brush and Tombow markers. I love this bird, flowers, and layout, but it didn’t scream the daughter I was trying to create the card for. Someone else will love this card.

This is the winner for this daughter’s birthday. She loves pink and a lot of sparkle. The cupcake is a die from Sizzix designed by Stephanie Bernard. I had paper with double sided adhesive on the back so it made it easy for adding the layers. This is a mixture of two sets, Bloom by Bloom and Hip Hip Hooray both Stampin Up. I used the Bow Easy tool for the bow. She loved her card.
So cute! Your daughter will love hers!
She loved it. Thanks!
I really like all of these and was amused to see how you processed a few cards to get something that really ensured your daughter would love it. A lot of work here but the results are obviously worth it.
Thanks! Now it is onto the other daughter’s birthday card as it is quickly coming. They are both in the same month, 10 days apart. I did not plan it that way.
All three of these look great! I’m glad she loved the card you ended up giving to her, and you now have 2 other awesome cards when the need arises.
Thanks! I knew just trying to create the one that fit would give me quite a few in my stash. Next is the other daughter’s birthday, so I am continuing on with other colors and ideas.
Great cards
These are great Lisa. I love your process of elimination until you figured out the perfect card for your daughter’s 21st birthday. I think all three are pretty great but love the sparkly cupcake.
Yes, this is the sparkly daughter and I hadn’t nailed it till the cupcake. It is fun to try to find the one that seemed to work the best. Thanks!
Wow! You were certainly busy creating fun birthday cards. I can understand why she loved the one you decided was definitely hers. It’s adds so much when you know it’s been created just for you. I really like all of your fun cards.
Thanks! Now my stash is larger, which is good.
Oh my gosh Lisa, you put so much loving thought into making just the right card for your daughter. All three are great and I think the pp on the Sunray one is perfect
Thanks Gerry! The sunray was fun. I liked our sunray on your blog. It is a fun way to use scraps as it doesn’t take much.
