This card was created for the Double D Challenges theme of Wedding. I created my gate fold card using the Crafter’s Companion Die’sire edge’able Victorian metal die. My next step was to use a piece of DCVW Wedding patterned paper pack with a vintage print which was cut 4-1/4 x 11 and scored at 5-1/2. This center panel lifts up for the inside message. I really wanted more of a silver look but settled for some sparkle by using Brutus Monroe Alabaster Glitter Glaze over a SSS Peony Bouquet stencil. The sentiment is GKD’s Always and Forever stamp set. The silver ribbon was from my stash.

Beautiful! Love the lacy look on the front.
Thanks, Lisa, that die was pretty difficult to work with but I had some release paper and that helped removing the paper from the die.
Striking. I am thinking the glaze gave you the look you wanted but did not even know you wanted it yet.
Yes, Bonnie, the glaze is a gorgeous product very smooth to apply. I tried the stencil on grey cardstock which made the flowers pop more I liked the patterned paper piece better.
Now I want to see what you create with the grey?
Such a gorgeous card Gayle. I love the glaze you used and I like the silver of the die cut. It is really pretty and a perfect take on the challenge.
Thanks, Johanna, I was happy with the way it turned out. The glaze is really nice,.
Very elegant and shimmery. It would also be a lovely 25th anniversary card.
Thanks, Judy, and yes I will save this one for an anniversary card unless someone I know decides to get married.
Gorgeous! Love all the shimmer.
Thanks, Lisa, the glaze did add a nice touch of shimmer.
Nothing better then an all white lacy card for a wedding, it is beautiful!!! Thank you for joining our challenge at Double D!
