I am taking Online Card Classes, Spring Camp 2020. Day One was all about creating a Faux Embossing Folder. Here are two card created with this technique.

My faux embossing folder was created with the background stamp, Flourish, by My Favorite Things. I added Scripty Lawn Fawn die cuts to each card. This was a different way of creating an embossed image, but I will probably stick to my regular embossing folders as I have many to choose from.
Interesting technique, and a great way to stretch your stamps. I’m with you on using embossing folders though – I have so many and seldom use them, though they always make a great background.
Yea, your creations are terrific. Really good design to show off your hard work on the dry embossing.
Love the embossed and debossed backgrounds you created. The shiny and sparkly sentiment strips are perfect to complement your textured panels. Nice color combos, too.
Interesting concept to use stamps as an embossing folder. Both cards turned out great. I, too, have a supply of embossing folders but generally forget to use them.
It was definitely not an easy adventure as my first runs through the Big Shot left white on my colored paper, like part of the embossing powder wasn’t totally heated. I placed at least 6 layers of embossing powder to get the dimension. Jennifer used 10 in the class.
Nice cards – both of them.
Great technique and a lovely result with both cards. I like your colour combos.
Glad you gave it a go, as you created some pretty cards. It’s always nice to try new techniques. Some we never do again, but at least they’ve been tried. Sometimes we find new things to love and use constantly.
