Beach Scene

I was excited to see the challenge with Just Add Ink as it is all about the beach. I have been to two beaches in my life and both were enjoyable. I was also happy to see the As You See It Challenge is all about my favorite card to send.

I saw this idea on Pinterest and decided to go with it. The stamp set is Beach Happy by Stampin Up. I used all Gina K Designs supplies and inks for the card. The ink colors are: Coral Reef, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Key Lime, Blue Lagoon, Plum Punch, Kraft, Sandy Beach, Black Amalgam. The cardbase Coral Reef.

I added sparkle to each of the palm leaves and the bag. This was fun to create.

I love creating general uplifting cards. Those are always a fun card to send. If this is sent near an occasion, I will place those greetings inside. I often send these to a friend who is going through a rough time in life. Another reason I like these kinds of cards is that the person is not expecting it. They get a fun surprise in their mailbox.

  1. I like your colours too and I also like your comment on favourite card to send. This is a fun card.

  2. What a fun, colorful beach scene. I too like your comment about the kind of cards you like to send. It’s lovely to get a card on your birthday, but it’s extra nice to get one just because.

    1. I really love to send a Just Because, but often get caught up in getting the birthday cards out. Need to change that.

  3. You’re so right about the pleasure of an unexpected card arriving in the letterbox! Your rainbow of palm trees is fun. The beach is a special place for me too so I really like this set of stamps too. Thank you for joining in with us again at As You See It Challenge.

    1. I have someone in mind for this card. I think it will brighten her day. Thanks for the fun challenge idea.

  4. There’s something about an unexpected card that leaves a deep impression. It really speaks of the card of the sender for the receiver. After all, they didn’t have to send a card, they did it because they wanted to uplift the receiver! And what’s more uplifting than a beach, especially with all those fun colours of palm trees! Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenges.

  5. I know what you mean – there is definitely something special about receiving a card that you weren’t expecting for sure. And if someone is in need of a little lift, those rainbow palm trees are a great way to do it, so colourful! Thanks for sharing with us over at As You See It this week!

  6. This would definitely be a card that anyone would love to receive! Pretty, happy colors and a perfect subject…the beach! Thanks for sharing this at As You See It this week!
