ModSquad Challenge Hot Drinks
My card today feels like it should belong to Alice and the Mad Hatters’ Tea Party. I am a tea drinker but my tea cups and teapot choices are very limited in my stamps so I decided to follow my Buddie Gerry’s advice and google some coloring pages. The cups image was lightly colored and then fussy cut applied with some foam dots to my shaker window. In addition to the hot drinks challenge at ModSquad Challenge we also needed to make it a shaker and add stickers. My shaker was cut out using Waffle Flowers A2 dies and in addition to the transparency acetate layer I also included light green glitter tulle for my variety of sequins and gems to shake. My sentiment is Artful Inkables “warm drinks for a cold day” stamps set on purple and die cut using a spellbinder’s labels 14 die. Cardstock is GKD’s fresh asparagus. It’s really a lot of green going on for this card, isn’t it? Looking at it now I wish I would have thought to run it through an embossing folder to add a little more interest to the card. By the way my stickers were given to me from my son. He wanted to contribute to my stash and gave me a supply of some puffy stickers and letters, etc. He’s so sweet!
Time to clean up Valentine’s Day stash of goodies and pull out Spring goodies!! Have a great day. Thanks for stopping in!
There is nothing like a warm cup of something on those cold spring days. All the green is such a delight.
Great card Gayle. Love those stacked up tea cups. Not only are those coloring page images fun to work with, they’re free.
It’s a great resource when you don’t have the stamp you need. Hugs.
Very nice card! Like the colors!

Thanks so much. I appreciate your comments and challenges.
I really like this fun shaker card! It’s got plenty of interest with the bright colors on the green.
Gayle -thank you for your interested in the Mod Squad Challenge – we have canceled the challenge due to technical difficulties – our challenge keeps coming and going – so we canceled or postponed the challenge — we are hoping that new challenges for Mod Squad will begin March 4th – stay tune!! Sorry about the situation – lovely coffee shaker card and stickers!
Hope all gets settled and we can resubmit our entries. Thanks for all you do.
Yes Gayle you may enter this card in the Mod Squad Stamplorations Sponsored challenge on March 18th – have a blessed day
Yes Gayle I am working on the resubmitting – stay tune I will let you know how that is going to happen – blessings
I love this card Gayle. You are right it is like the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. The colours are perfect and making it a shaker gives it something truly special. In Holland they serve hot mint tea in many places and it comes in a large mug with real mint cuttings. I enjoyed several cups while there.
Thank you for dropping of your re-entry at Mod Squad challenge this week – have a blessed day!
