I don’t pull out the perfect pearls often but the ModSquad Challenge for this week was to use them on our project. Not sure what was happening on their site but the challenge was posted then missing then posted then missing and now finally posted! Thank goodness I wasn’t imagining this challenge.
Anyway on today’s card I used SU’s From The Garden background stamp which was stamped in versamark then brushed on my perfect pearls. Using the Waffle Flower A2 layering die set I was able to make some frames and added dimension on the middle main image section with foam tape. To me something was missing so I added the butterfly from GKD’s Birthday Blessing stamp set and also used a copper perfect pearls on that piece. The stripes in the background are Denami Designs and were heat embossed in silver. Sentiment is also from the same Gina K Designs stamp set as the butterfly.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
You sure got the shimmer from those pearls.
Thanks, Bonnie, my hands were pretty shiny and shimmery too!!
This is beautiful!! Great layout with the frames and I can imagine how beautiful the shimmer is in real life.
Thanks, Gerry, I’m finding with those A2 dies I can cut small frames and save them. Hopefully I’ll remember to use them.
Pretty card! The challenge started as something different. Glad it was changed and you are able to participate. Beautiful shimmer. Like Gerry says, it has to be beautiful and shimmery.
Thanks, Lisa, I’m not sure what happened with their challenge posts for I had this one created for it when it disappeared so glad it popped on their blog again.
Gayle, this is beautiful! Perfect Pearls are so much fun, but I rarely pull them out, either.
Thanks, Golda, I don’t sure the perfect pearls much either although they are not quite as bad as glitter.
Beautiful card. I have Perfect Pearls somewhere, but I’ve never used them – I may have to dig them out.
Thanks, Judy, I know what you mean about not using them so it was fun to have a challenge to pull them out and give it a try.
Beautiful card!
