Paper Pieced Tulip Re-Do

I made this card for the Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge.

Stamp sets used: Tropical Blooms, A Beautiful Life

The paper is Lawn Fawn, Gotta Have Gingham (retired). I added the black layer when it the frame looked odd on the blue background. The black made a difference. The card base is My Favorite Things card stock. I have a set of many colors and just flip through till I have a match.

Here is the card I made last year with this stamp set.

Thanks for looking.

  1. I could almost quote Gayle word for word as her comment was my thoughts exactly. I think I prefer the redo and agree that the black layer makes a huge difference.

  2. That frame is one of my faves and is perfect for paper piecing I really like it stamped on the gingham. The black layer really does make the frame pop.

  3. I really like both of your cards. It’s interesting how things can look so very different, when we use the same stamp set. Your paper piecing is beautiful.
