What’s the Buzz

Love when a design will work for more than one challenge. I chose Paper Smooches stamps as I have not used them in a while and it was time to stamp with them once again. The CAS sketch worked perfectly for my idea.

I used Paper Smooches Courteous Cuties and Courteous Cuties 2 for my stamping. I colored the bee with Spectrum Noir CT1, 2, and 3 markers, and Copic CG1 and 0 for the wings. I added sparkle with a gel pen. I used GKD/Thermoweb stitched dies to cut out my rectangle. I used Cuttlebug Honeycomb embossing folder to add a bit of texture to the background. My yellow patterned paper is Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood paper pack. I felt my rectangle image was a bit unbalanced, so I added gemstones from The Paper Studio. Thanks for looking.

  1. When I saw this challenge I immediately thought of you and wondered what you would come up with. As usual you’ve created a cute and pretty card. I can hardly wait for my new stamp set to arrive as it will give me some fun images to play with. I don’t have many at the moment, unlike you.

    1. Thanks! It took a while to select one to use. I do have quite a few fun images, so it makes it hard to narrow a selection down.

      1. I have about 10 cute images and am ready for something new so looking forward to the new sets on the way.

    1. Thanks! I think this is the first time I have stamped that bee. I tend to grab a bee from Gina K more than this little guy. It was time to get this one stamped.

  2. I like how you’ve paired the honeycomb embossing with the darling little bee. This card is sure to make its recipient smile! Thanks for sharing it with us at CAS Colours & Sketches! 🙂

  3. What a great CAS card! I love that little bee! Thank you for playing along with us for the Paper Smooches Anything Goes Challenge! 🙂
