Today I created a bookmark for our granddaughter. It really is cute the things they put on their Christmas list. She’s 7and in second grade and both she and her brother love to read. This will be entered into the ModSquadChallenge Christmas/Winter theme challenge.
Using a 12×12 piece of cardstock which was scored in half, I lined outside and inside with patterned paper cardstock “Winter Dream” by craftsmart. The Hampton Art “polar” bear was stamped and die cut from GKD navy cardstock. I adhered small magnets to the inside between the patterned paper and the base cardstock so the bookmark snaps close.
I may have to may a more “manly” version for our grandson !!
Brooke is going to love it, Gayle! Beautiful bookmark!!
Thanks, Jan, she probably will like it. I bought her a little journal book and will put it in there.
Cute! Can’t wait to see the “manly” version.
Thanks, Lisa, this could be a stumper. I’ll have to search my sets for one for Chase.
So cute!
Thanks so much, Diana.
Such a clever closing for a cool bookmark. What a blessing that they both love to read.
Thanks Bonnie. They are both avid readers as well as athletes but I’m happy they have found the joy of reading.
Wow – can I have one too? haha. Using magnets is inspired and the image chosen is great.
Absolutely! I was hoping with the small magnets would help keep the bookmark in her book. Brooke in 2nd grade was very excited to be a guest reader for a Kindergarten class at her school.
Super cute bookmark -thanks for linking up at Mod Squad Christmas/Winter challenge – blessings, Gail
Gayle, this is fantastic! She’s going to love it.
