My card today is for the Double D Challenge to Focus on the Sentiment. Still creating Halloween and pulled out the Inkadinkadoo Trick or Treat stamp set again which had the largest sentiment in my collection. I stamped it in GKD’s white pigment ink which is not really a stark white but hopefully has a more spooky affect to it. Our buddy, Johanna, gifted me some die cut frames and have finally been able to put them to good use. I was hoping for a little abstract affect to go along with my spooky sentiment :).
I didn’t want to cut off any of the frames so I mounted this on a 5×7 card, covering another layer of card stock with my sparkle mesh Dollar Store find.
Here’s the link for the Double D Challenge
and here’s my card. Thanks for looking.
Oh Gayle, this is FANTASTIC!! It all fits together so well, from the die cut frames to the sparkly mesh
Thanks so much, Gerry, I appreciate the support.
Really neat card! I like the sparkle.
Thanks so much Lisa for the support.
Your frames look like ribbons, what a cool effect. I love the dollar store.
So cute!
Thanks, Bonnie, I really found some goodies at my Dollar Store; I must have hit it at a good time.
Wow – this is great Gayle. I would never have thought to use the frames this way – I will now though. Love the colour, the layout, oh what the heck I just love everything about it.
Thanks so much for the ribbon frames, Johanna, I sponged some extra color over the printed frames but I was pleased with the outcome of the card.
You are welcome and the card you made with them is amazing.
Awesome frame – especially for Halloween!!
Thanks, Jan, I’ve been on a mission to create my Halloween cards and was so happy to put the ribbon frames that were gifted to me to good use.
Gayle, this is so much fun! Love the overlapping frames and how they are all unique, even being the same shape.
Thanks, Golda, the frames really all seemed to work together and I was hoping they would look abstract for my card.
