This challenge, on Split Coast Stampers, was to make a Clean and Simple card using water in some way. I knew I wanted to use the sailboat, but hadn’t figured out the water. I watched a video by Connie Stewart showing eight different ways to ground an image. One was to mask the image and stamp something on top of it. I went to my stamp arsenol and found the High Tide stamp set and it had everything I wanted for the boat. It had a nice image of water and lovely birds. I enjoy finding items in my vast array of stamps from many companies that work well together. I used to do this all of the time, but got away from it for a few years. I am so glad those ideas are coming back into my brain.
Lisa, this is lovely and perfectly fits the challenge. I like your use of stamps from different sets and companies, too.
Thank you! Always nice to find treasures in the many sets in my house.
What a cute card. It’s always fun when you find things from other companies that work together.
Thank You! You are so correct. This was a Mom stamp set and I have barely used it. Now I need to get more acquainted with it.
Cute card, Lisa, and love your creativity and blending of stamps from different companies.
Thank you! I love when I can pull out different companies and they work together.
Great take on the challenge Lisa. It is such a cute image and the water etc. go perfectly. I’ll be boating again soon so it reminded me of that.
Glad it reminded you of good times. It was fun to make. Thanks!
Oh what a lovely scene. The sentiment is so perfect.
Love when a sentiment is fun and comes with the set. I hadn’t used the sentiments before. Thanks for the lovely comment.
What a perfect ocean/boating scene. I love the perfect sentiment.
Love the scene you created, Lisa. Everything has come together perfectly!
Thank you! This was sure fun to make.
