Floral Stencil Hello

I make a lot of cards that say Hello as they can be used for anything. I also make a lot of Thinking of You cards for the same reason; they can be adapted to be used for many occasions. Today, I combined the two greetings into one floral card.

I used the layering stencil from Gina K Designs called A Little Hello Layering Stencil Bundle. My Thinking of You greeting strip came from My Favorite Things Itty Bitty Basics with strip die to cut it out.

I used Lawn Fawn inks to blend the layers. I used Lemonade for the flower base layer, then added Peach Fuzz for the strips. The circle center is Fake Tan (orange color). The greens used are Celery Stalk and Freshly Cut Grass. After the ink blending was finished and dry, I came back with Simon Hurley Solar Paste. It adds a shimmer of sparkle when it is flashed in the light; it does not photograph well to see the shine.

Stencil Fun

Hi everyone! It has been an ‘age’ since I was here. I have to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Bonnie for these wonderful stencils! I finally got to play with them yesterday and here are my results. For the first one, I used Gina K In the Navy cardstock mounted on a white card base. I used Gina K white Glitz Glitter Gel (made a bit of a mess in places – but figured that adds to the individuality of the card) The sentiment is from Mama Elephant Joy Ornaments. The small snowflake is heat embossed on Lawn Fawn Pearlescent Vellum and the letters are cut from some glitter cs from my stash. I cut 3 black letters and mounted the glitter cs on top. The final touch was some gems from Pink Fresh Studio. The photo doesn’t do the glitter justice – it is very sparkly IRL.

For the second one, I chose not to use conventional Christmas colours. I sponged the stencil with twisted citron Distress Oxide ink, heat set the American Crafts Sing! ep (Leaf) and mounted the In the Navy piece on Gina K Jelly Bean Green cs. Added some green gems from Pink Fresh Studio and spritzed the whole thing with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Spritz (frost). Another one that is more sparkly IRL. Very happy with the results on both cards! Thanks for looking! Hugs!!
