This card uses MFT Flowers in Bloom with dies, and the MFT Smile Maker. I watercolored the blooms with Lawn Fawn Wild Rose ink on Ranger WC Paper. The green stems are SU Granny Apple Green and the yellow centers, SU Pineapple Punch. I used GKD Black Onyx with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder for both the blooms and sentiment.
I enjoyed the sketch challenge. Just do not enjoy cutting it so close. Thanks for looking.
I saw this no line coloring video by Desiree Kuemmerle on the recent Simon Says Lucky to Know You blog hop and had to give it a try. I sponged the Daisy Bouquet stencil with Warm Glow ink, removed the stencil and started coloring with Prismas: Nectar – PC1092, Mahogany Red – P 1092, Lime Peel – PC1005, Olive Green – PC911, Sunburst Yellow – P917, Yellow Ochre – PC942, Burnt Ochre, PC943, Caribbean Sea – PC1123, Indigo Blue – PC901, Black Grape – PC996, Sepia – PC948, and White – PC938. The sentiment, from Bold & Blooming was stamped in Blue Denim. The mat is also Blue Denim and the card base is Sweet Corn. This was fun to do, but I need a lot of practice with my shading. I’m entering this in the Just Us Girls #528 Color Week Challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – Anything Goes. And another card for my birthday stash.
Sympathy cards are always hard to create, but when I had to create cards for three generations for my extended family it was especially hard. This is for my BFF whose three week old great granddaughter died suddenly. Using a makeup brush I used Lemon Drop ink on the Water Droplets stencil (Gina K Designs) for a soft background. The Daffodil, by Divinity Designs was colored with Copics and cut with the matching die. The sentiment is from Sincere Sentiments by Stampendous. The card base is soft stone, my new favorite card base. I’m entering this in the Simon Says Monday Challenge to use a stencil.
This is for the baby’s grandmother. I used the Rose Lace background stamp by Gina K Designs stamped in Kraft on white with a Kraft card base. The sentiment is from Extra Grand Sentiments by JustRite, stamped in Dark Chocolate.
And this is for the baby’s mother. The Rose Lace Background was stamped in Innocent Pink, on a Dusty Rose card base. The sentiment from Peony Wishes was stamped in Stormy Sky. The butterfly die is from the My Hero January Kit, cut in Dusty Rose. The body and antenna were colored with a black marker and highlighted with a Stardust Clear Glitter pen. I am entering this in the Dies R Us Challenge to use things with wings.
I pulled out the following colors: Gina K Designs Passionate Pink as a substitute for Melon Mambo, GKD Sweet Corn as a substitute for So Safforn, and SU Balmy Blue to create the flowers. All carstock is Hobby Lobby. The black is Versafine Black, embossed in clear powder.
These colors are for the color challenge with CAS Colors and Sketches. I have a lot of white space to help with the Clean and Simple feel.
I am also submitting this to the My Favorite Things monthly birthday challenge. The current challenge is the make a floral birthday card.
The stamps used are Gina K Designs Bold and Blooming along with matching dies, and Stampin Up Petite Petals with matching punch. I glued the flowers in the center then added a rhinestone, from Hobby Lobby. Love the colors and challenges.
I was excited to see the challenge with Just Add Ink as it is all about the beach. I have been to two beaches in my life and both were enjoyable. I was also happy to see the As You See It Challenge is all about my favorite card to send.
I saw this idea on Pinterest and decided to go with it. The stamp set is Beach Happy by Stampin Up. I used all Gina K Designs supplies and inks for the card. The ink colors are: Coral Reef, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Key Lime, Blue Lagoon, Plum Punch, Kraft, Sandy Beach, Black Amalgam. The cardbase Coral Reef.
I added sparkle to each of the palm leaves and the bag. This was fun to create.
I love creating general uplifting cards. Those are always a fun card to send. If this is sent near an occasion, I will place those greetings inside. I often send these to a friend who is going through a rough time in life. Another reason I like these kinds of cards is that the person is not expecting it. They get a fun surprise in their mailbox.
The challenge at The Male Room is to use Team Colors. I have friends that live in Ohio so I chose red and gray for Ohio State. The horseshoe, from a retired set by Theresa Momber for Gina K. Designs called Out West was stamped in VersaMark and embossed in silver on a Stormy Sky card panel. The sentiment is from Scripty Encouragement, also by Gina K Designs stamped in Red Velvet on a Red Velvet card base.
The cardbase is white Hobby Lobby paper. The green layer is Gina K Designs, Grass Green which I stamped with My Favorite Things Garden Flourish background stamp in Versamark ink. The banner is also Gina K, Journey of the Heart patterned paper. The sentiment Good Luck is from Stampin’ Up Paper Pumpkin, December 2019, Something for Everything.
I used a sketch to complete the layout. The sketch is from Split Coast Stampers SC792. It has squares, but I changed it to circles. I enjoyed creating the card, following a sketch with a specific theme.
The challenge at the Mod Squad is to use neon colors. Just Us Girls has a word challenge this week – HEAL. This card should brighten someone’s day and help them heal. The flowers and stems are from Gina K Designs recent kit “A Big Hello” stamped in Hero Arts Neon Pink and Neon Green. The sentiment is from “Stippled Flowers” also by Gina K Designs. I swiped the Neon Pink around the edge of piece of white CS to create a mat, the used a Key Lime card base, which was the brightest green I could find.
Tags are a challenge for me, but I was inspired to make this for a friend’s birthday gift. I used the largest tag from the Tim Holtz Tag collection cut in Peach Bellini and the smallest tag in that collection cut from Soft Stone. I stamped Birthday Wishes from Wild Blossom by Gina K Designs all over the tag in Peach Bellini for a tone on tone look. I have a bunch of flowers and wraps cut using the dies from Hero Arts’ My Monthly Hero Kit for January 2020 – I’m having so much fun with those dies – cut in various scraps of card stock. The wrap Kraft. The flowers are highlighted with white ink and Copic markers. The tiny tag is stamped with a greeting from Mini Tag Sentiments by Divinity Designs.
