Several Cards for Spring

I have been creating for several days and finally took photos. I just posted these to splitcoaststampers and two are linked to other challenges.

This is for this week’s alphabet challenge for the letter N. The word from the list is Nature and my words are Navy and Narcissus. Also the images are from Newton’s Nook, another N word. This was linked to the Double D Easter challenge. There are two other entries from the buddies blog, so I linked from splitcoast in case another buddy wants to create an Easter card and link from here.

I am entering this card in Word Art Wednesday, anything goes: https://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2025/04/anything-goes-weeks-694-695.html

This is my March to the Beat April card. I am the April hostess and I sent each person this image and a piece of patterned paper from the same pack. The images is Newton’s Nook Spring Haul. I used Neenah Classic Crest paper for the stamping, Echo Park Spring Fling or Easter Wishes paper packs, Hobby Lobby vellum, SU gems, and Accent White card base. I like this truck with the beautiful blooms.

I added this to two challenges: The Sisterhood of Crafters: https://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/2025/04/4925-springtime-designer-paper.html

The other challenge is the Four Season’s challenge: https://thefourseasonschallenge.blogspot.com/2025/04/spring-season-april-2025.html

One again, I chose to go ahead and link from splitcoast in case there were others who wanted to link from here.

This card was created for the technique swap, I am involved in. They chose stencils for the month of April. I used my Gina K Designs kit called A Happy Hello. This was the first layering stencil kit I ever used, so it was fun to pull it out and create with it. I used a color challenge in the colors Flirty Flamingo (bright pink), Lost Lagoon (the blue color), Lemon Lolly (which I substituted with lawn fawn Butter, light yellow), and gray for a neutral (I used lawn fawn manatee and narwhal).

I posted this to Triple B for the blooms: https://dd-tripleb.blogspot.com/2025/04/april-2025-challenge.html

I posted a lot of cards this week, catching up. Since I was posting each of these to splitcoast, I just went ahead and posted to the challenges from there.

Today, I will be taking a break from creating and cleaning up my space. I have stuff all over and I would like less stuff in my way. Thanks for reading this long post. Have a wonderful day!

Easter Daffodils

I made an Easter card with daffodils. This will be entered in Shopping Our Stash and also on Splitcoast Stampers in the Challenge Your Stash and March to the Beat challenge.

The daffodils are from a Simon Says Stamp set called Joys of Spring. The Happy Easter greeting came from a Your Next Stamp set. The patterned paper is Echo Park ad the green print is from Memento. The cardbase is from my stash and matched well with everything.

I am the hostess for both Splitcoast Stampers challenges for the month of March. I sent each person in the March to the Beat challenge two pieces of the stamped daffodil image, several greetings from the same set and a few more. They also received a piece of this green patterned paper as well as a yellow piece. It is fun to see how each person uses the same image differently. The Challenge Your Stash group will each be making Easter cards as that is the theme I chose. I look forward to seeing the variety.

The Shopping our Stash is titled Spring Has Sprung: https://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/2024/03/sos518-spring-has-sprung.html

This is my other daffodil card that I created a few weeks ago. I wish each of my Buddies a very Happy Easter. I will not be sending cards as I just didn’t get them made. I have these two and I think I will send them to my two aunts, who should receive them my Easter.

Easter Tulips

I have a tulip card I made for Easter.

I used the SU set called Blessed Easter. This was purchased nearly 10 years ago. It came as a single wood block stamp with the greeting attached to the tulip. I separated the images making two separate stamps. I often use the tulips for birthday cards during the Spring. I used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color the tulips. I chose Gina K Designs Artists Choice paper for the images. The argyle layer is Echo Park patterned paper. I used an SU embossing folder for the border.

Easter Cross Card

I have an Easter card that will be entered in the Can You Handle the Pressure? challenge.

https://cyhtp.blogspot.com/2023/03/anything-goes-embossing-with-twist-of.html

I used the set SU Hold onto Hope for this card. I used Gina K Edible Eggplant and Fresh Asparagus for ink and cardstock. The white paper is SU as well as the glimmer paper in the cross. I used the Garden Trellis embossing folder from SU.

I have been participating in Virtual Stamp Night with Splitcoast Stampers and this was added to the 7 Layer Challenge. The theme is On the Menu. I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.

Easter Tulips

I am making Easter cards and pulled out a favorite set called Easter Blessings, 2015, by Stampin’ Up, retired several years ago. The greeting is from Joy Clair, Easter Greetings, 2019, also retired.

I used the colors Gina K Designs Sweet Corn for SU So Saffron, and SU Mango Melody and Pear Pizzazz for the tulips and scalloped cardstock layer. I chose to watercolor these flowers.

He Lives

I completed several Easter cards this year. Most are being sent to distant relatives or older people who are not getting out, due to the virus and their health. Here is one of the ones completed.

Supplies used include: Banner Blessings stamp set from Maymay Made It, SU Framed Tulip embossing folder (retired), GKD/Thermoweb stitched rectangle dies, GKD Turquoise Sea cardstock, a combination of Spectrum Noir and Copic markers, and white paper from who knows where. I have many kinds of white cardstock and can’t remember which kind was pulled for this image.

This card will be entered in the Global Design Project for Easter cards.

Fancy Fold Easter Blessings

Butterfly Easter Blessings

I love fancy fold cards. I watched a video, by Connie Stewart (
https://simplysimplestamping.com/fancy-fold-easter-card-simple-stamping/ ) on Saturday and began making a card using supplies I had on hand.

I used Jelly Bean Green cardstock by Gina K Designs for the card base. I used Echo Park Spring Fling Patterned Paper. The yellow piece on the flap and the circle is Wild Dandelion, also from Gina K Designs. The butterfly image is long ago retired from Stampin’Up called Butterfly Prints with matching punch. I found a sentiment in the set Springtime Baskets from Gina K Designs, illustrated by Claire Brennan. This was a fun card to make.
