Stamp set used are Sizzix Free Hugs — Cactus Set and dies, and Lawn Fawn Year Ten. I used two stencils from SU, Brick and Clouds, all ink blended. The inspiration for this layout was from the Lawn Fawn blog using cactus from the new Simply Summer stamp set. I own a few cactus sets, so the Sizzix one was the one I chose to use for this card. This card was posted at Split Coast Stampers as part of the inspiration challenge and MISTI challenge: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2995060?&cat=500&ppuser=301308
Slimline cards are the newest trend I have seen in the paper crafting world, with dies from many manufacturers. This card was all cut using my paper trimmer. So far, that is working for me. This is the second one I have made with in the last week.
The above card is a small 3 X 3 inch card. I think it would work well for placing with a gift.
This card has a piece of patterned paper for the background that has gold foil dots in it. I think the cactus works well with this paper. The cactus stamps are from a Lawn Fawn set called Stuck on You.
This challenge was a color challenge: Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Gorgeous Grape. I used a Sizzix embossing folder that was new, a stamp set from SU that was new, and a sentiment from Gina K Designs that I have used many times before. I enjoy color challenges.
There are three more cards I will post soon that were completed for the Virtual Stamp Night. Thanks for looking.
Stamps set used: Blossom by Joy Clair, Ink used: Versamark, Paper used: GKD Grass Green, Fresh Asparagus, Used Spellbinders Label Number 9 die, Tombow marker #177
This card will be entered in the Mod Squad Challenge. I struggle with using green, so I pulled out every green piece of paper I owned, then ink, then decided to keep it simple and go with Versamark. I do like the cactus in this stamp set. I think they might be fun to color.
