Beary Best Friends

I pulled out a very old stamp to create a card with. This will be entered in the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.

https://www.retrorubberchallengeblog.com/my-blog/2020/06/challenge-138-anything-goes.html

The stamps shows the name Anita’s on the end, with no name or date. I have had this for 15 years at least. It also had a sticker or marking that reads $3.99. That also helps with the age.

I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers. The scalloped edge is Gina Marie Designs Stitched Scalloped Rectangles die. I enjoy pulling out very old stamps to create with every once in a while.

Howdy Partner

One last card for the current Paper Smooches challenge. I am playing along with the Virtual Stamp Night with Split Coast Stampers and this card was for a hat challenge.

https://papersmooches.blogspot.com/2020/06/june-15-28-anything-goes-challenge.html

I started with the hat. The SCS challenge is to use a Stetson on your card. There is a wonderful set called Noggin Toppers from Paper Smooches which is all about hats. I stamped the Stetson then masked it off before stamping the bear. The bear is from Courteous Cuties. I colored him with Spectrum Noir markers. Then it needed a greeting and didn’t have anything acceptable for this stetson wearing bear, so I created one using the Alphadot set. This was a fun card. It is only 3 X 3 inches, so will work well for a gift.

Thank You Beary Much

I am mixing the Paper Smooches challenge with Day 4 of the Online Card Classes, Spring Card Camp 2 lesson.

https://papersmooches.blogspot.com/2020/05/may-15-28-thank-you-challenge.html

I used the sets Courteous Cuties and Courteous Cuties 2, along with the Thanks Word Die to complete the card. The paper is from Gina K Designs in the gradient of turquoise colors: Sea Glass, Ocean Mist, Turquoise Sea, and Tranquil Teal for the cardbase. The white is Hobby Lobby 110 pound heavy cardstock.

I love the set with the bear and the sentiment set that matches. The class lesson was to use a repeating die or stamp set in creating a rainbow of words. I thought the gradient colors worked for this idea.

Paper Piecing Hello Pumpkin

Having fun with a new Gerda Steiner Designs stamp.

Hello Pumpkin

I used a Darice embossing folder for the tree. It is cut from SU Chocolate Chip cardstock, with the leaves colored with several markers laying close. I used Celebrate Autumn from Echo Park for the paper piecing. The bear is colored with various alcohol markers. This was fun to create. It has been quite a while since I paper pieced. I will post this to Gerda Steiner Designs challenge for September.
