Flowers on Black

It’s Trend Week at Just Us Girls. The trend is to use a black background.  The big, solid floral corner from A Big Hello by Gina K Designs was stamped in Unicorn White ink by Hero Arts. I let it sit all day to make sure it was dry, the colored with Prisma pencils: PC908 Grass Green, PC912 Apple Green for the stems and leaves, PC923 Scarlet Lake and PC925 Crimson Lake for the flowers. I added dots around the stems and leaves with a white gel pen. The sentiment from Wild Blossom also from Gina K Designs, was stamped twice in Barn Door Distress Oxide ink, then once with Unicorn White which I thought gave a pretty good match to the flowers. I added a Red Velvet border, then used a white card base. This was a fun challenge and now I have another birthday card for my stash.

Black, Gold, Cream

I stamped a floral image from A Big Hello, part of the new kit by Gina K Designs, embossed in gold on cream. The butterfly is from the same set, embossed in Obsidian, then VersaMark, embossed with clear EP.  The sentiment, from Peaceful Florals by Gina K Designs is embossed in gold on cream. The sentiment panel and floral panel are matted in black on a cream card base. I wish you could see this IRL – the picture doesn’t do it justice.
