Hello and welcome. Time again for dear-old-sister’s chuckle of the month. Again, sentiment was found while scrolling through Pinterest. Inside photo was with the sentiment, front photo was found while scrolling through Google. Background papers are double scored on 4 sides, front gems are from my stash. D-o-s could relate because she has never been able to learn my sassiness. LOL
Thanks for stopping by your visits mean a lot to me. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe!
A light ink blended masked background with some silhouette images was the plan for my CAS card today. Using SimonSaysStamps’ Domed Arch Stencils and some light blue and kraft ink with a touch of yellow, I make my background for stamps from Gina K Designs’ Follow Your Dreams illustrated by Theresa Momber. I did add an extra layer to my CAS card as I felt it needed a little color between the focal image and the kraft cardstock.
A new month so a new Halloween card for my stash. This month’s card is on the sweeter side focusing on a black cat and a fun pumpkin. My stenciled background was made using Taylored Expressions Spooky Nights Layering stencils, The two frames in my stash are also TE’s A2 Thin Frame cutting plate, SimonSaysStamp Halloween sentiment strips and some wink of stella for kitty and pumpkin for shine. Where are my googly eyes when I need them? I’m sure they will appear before Halloween!
I’ll be sharing my card with a few Halloween challenges:
Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge August 2023 Anything Halloween and with their mood board you can see that I was inspired to use a black cat and a pumpkin
Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest great-grandson. YIKES!! that just doesn’t seem possible.
Card stock is Cajun Craze from Stampin Up. For the pp I Googled birthday background paper but then clicked on birthday gift wrap and that’s where I found what I really liked. Numbers are from the Silhouette double cut and topped with Glossy Accents. There’s not a lot of room for a sentiment but simple is good.
Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day, stay healthy and safe from the heat.
The background cardstock is Gina K Designs, possibly. I used Catherine Pooler Designs Tropically Yours, 2018, to emboss the leaves and swirls. The focal image uses Stampin Up Beach Happy, 2019. I fussy cut the palm leaves and hat. I saw this idea on Pinterest but the maker used a die to cut her background. The rest of the card is very similar using what I had.
This will be entered in Retro Rubber Challenge:
This will also be entered in Sisterhood of Crafters Tropical challenge. I linked it above.
We have had rain and storms for the last 3 or 4 days, so I am craving sunshine. I was able to walk this morning and that felt good. Thanks for stopping by today.
A birthday card for our youngest grandchild. Time has flown by and this little guy will be one next week. For my card, I decided on bright colors focusing on yellows and greens, Newton Nook’s Love Quarry stamp and die set, Concord & 9th’s Alphabet dies, Stampin Up/Sizzix’s Banner Framelets (trimmed down), patterned paper from my stash and a computer generated (if off center) greeting.
My card will be shared with:
Colorful Options: August 2023 challenge with this month’s colors Yellow and Green. My card is predominately those colors but I’m sure I fit the option of using Rainbow colors which I have covered. So this card may be a two-fer!!
I’m still in recovery mode after our 5 year old granddaughter and the soon to be birthday boy 11 months old came on vacation to our house for 4 days. Fun but exhausting. Our two older grandchildren came home early from vacation and helped babysit. We all had a wonderful time with 4 grands in the house together. Can you believe our central air went out sometime Friday and Saturday morning we woke up to 80+ degrees in the house. Thankfully the HVAC company came out in the afternoon and made the repairs to the three year old unit and the 86 degrees took about 4-5 hours to drop to normal temps.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, be safe and stay cool.
Hello and welcome. While perusing Pinterest I came across a video to emboss foil and I just had to give it a try.
Cardstock and pp are from Stampin Up, scalloped circle is Spellbinders Scalloped Circles, sentiment circle is online clip art punched with a Stampin Up circle punch. Circle is popped up. Embossing folder is Snowflakes by the Paper Studio.
I have busy with the Dare to Get Dirty challenges at Splitcoast Stampers both hosting, creating samples, and just keeping up. I decided to take time away and create something for myself. I made two identical Christmas cards.
I used a Paper Pumpkin set from a few years ago on this card. I saw the idea on Pinterest and followed her plan. I used SU Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Accent White for the card base and layer. I embossed the flower image with Wow Pale Gold embossing powder. I added Nuvo drops for an embellishment.
Thank you for joining me today. I have a few more days of the DTGD challenge at Splitcoast Stampers, so my craft room will be a mess for a while. I had to do a bit of cleaning this morning so I could at least see the top of my work space. Stay inside and enjoy the cool, especially if your temperatures are as high as they are here.
The Detailed Santa Thinlits die from Stampin Up is one of my very favorite Christmas dies. Stars were cut from white glitter paper, sentiment die is Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments. Sentiment was cut twice for a little stability then I used Clear Wink Of Stella for a little shine.
