Tropical Shades

I’m making some summer cards in conjuction with a few challenges and today’s card started off with Gina K Designs Sunshine Stencil which was masked off and partially stenciled for a landing spot for my tropical sunglasses. The sunglasses are a Taylored Expressions Shades of Summer stamp set with dies for the glasses.

I’ll be sharing my Clean & Simple card today with:

Simply Clean & Simple: June 2024 Challenge a clean & simple card is required with an optional theme of tropical. My palm trees are the tropical portion of my card.

Square Skull

June’s Halloween card may have a bit more of a Day of the Dead vibe but it was fun to make. I saw the idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a try. I made a copy of the ephemera skull because I didn’t want it in color, added wink of stella for shine, embossed my web and matted it on black cardstock, stamped some foilage around the larger panel and punched flowers and butterflies in shades of grey. The 3d flowers sticker added just the right amount of color to complete my square card.

Continuing through the Alphabet

I had to look and see the last alphabet challenge card I posted and it was V. I will share W, X, and Y for you to see.

For W, I chose the state of Washington. The state fruit is the red apple. I had fun creating this with the Apple Harvest stamp and die set from Stampin Up.

I used Lawn Fawn’s Ahoy Matey stamp set for this card. I found several cards on Pinterest which I combined to create this. One card had directions to create the treasure map, so I used her directions to create the paper that looked old. I followed her directions and Tombow marker colors for coloring my images. I used a few other cards to help with the layout. I enjoyed creating this card. It was mailed today to my BIL for his birthday.

My destination for Y is Yakama, Washington. They produce 50% of the Concord Grapes used in grape juice. I used Lawn Fawn Year Ten set for this card along with the newest Embroidery die set. The gingham paper is Gina K Designs along with matching cardstock. This was fun to create.

I am in the last week of the challenge for the letter Z. I have enjoyed creating these cards as I often had to think about where to go, what to use, and how to create the card. Sometimes I searched for ideas and other times, I just looked in my stash. Thanks for sharing in these creations.

Doodle Birds

Two fun challenges for my card today uses a NEW Taylored Expressions Doodle Birds stamps and dies, Doodle Bird Digs and Mini Strips – Sending; OLD is a SimonSaysStamp Cloud Stencil from an April kit of an unknown year and BLUE is my inked cloud background.

My card today will be shared with these two challenges:

Halloween Night Sky

Hello and welcome. I’m so happy that that the Two Old Bats challenge helps me build my Halloween stash all year. I had to get this one finished today because our daughter will be here tomorrow. I am so excited.

Halloween sky background was found online, jack-o-lanterns are from online coloring pages colored with Copic’s and fussy cut. Eyes and mouths have Wink of Stella on them but that doesn’t show to well in the photo. Center jack is popped up.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy and safe.

Classic

Yes, he sure is a classic! Hard to find car images for my husband and his treasured ’64 Pontiac GTO classic car. This Altenew stamp & die set was kind of sort of close to his model car. After stamping and die cutting, layered it with some frames and kept with a blue and brown “masculine” color scheme. I may need a little more practice and it was fun to make but unfortunately I cannot repeat it for awhile.

Bag It!

A challenge of shoe and or purses. Love both but after digging through my stash, I finally found an on line image of a purse that I liked. Colored the image, mounted it on circle die cuts, patterned paper from Hopscotch paper pad by BasicGrey and sentiment from an purse/shoe stamp set I’ve had for years. I was digging deep for this challenge. I liked the patterened paper because of the cute flowers that resembled the one on my bag. Added some embellisments and I probably should say some very bright embellishments. LOL! My background was cut from a gift with purchase from Taylored Expressions All Planned Out 1 die set.

Strawberry Fields

It is strawberry time! After stamping and coloring in my strawberries using a very old Gina K Designs Enjoy The Sunshine StampTV kit, I stamped the sentiment from a more recent GKD You’re the Sweetest stamp set. Patterned paper is also from GKD. After adhering the patterned paper to cardstock layer it was embossed with a diamond Sizzix embossing folder and the green circle layer behind my focal image was embossed with swiss dots embossing folder.

Heels And Handbag

Hello and welcome. When I saw buddy Johanns’s card for the Cardz 4 Galz challenge I really liked it and thought it would be fun to try to CASE it.

I started with a 4 1/4 x 11 cardstock, scored at 2 /12 & 6 1/2. Patterned paper was found online, “clasp” is a brad from my stash, and I put a piece of Velcro behind it to keep it closed. Pearls in the bottom corners are also from my stash. Handle was cut with Stitched Circles by Die-namics.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
