Amazing Birthday

Hello and welcome. I thought it was about time to make another fractured card. Patterned paper was found online, sentiment was found on Pinterest, party hats are computer clip art. Die used is Stitched Squares by Die-Namics. Blue strips are 1/2″ and the zig zag trim is from a very old Extended Sizlit by Sizix. This was so easy I feel like I cheated.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Congratulations Kaden

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest great-grandson. Actually, he finished his classes in Oct. but decided to wait and walk with his class to get his diploma. He’s now going to school to go into law enforcement. We’re all very proud of him.

The design I first wanted just didn’t work for me so off to plan B. The school colors are red & white. Luckily I found this pp online. Sentiment was printed on the computer and red caps are clip art. Red brads were added for a little interest. This is very plain & simple but I like it.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Flying Hi!!!

Our weather has either been rainy or windy and most days it’s both of those types of weather, so my weather themed embossing folder card today includes a Darice cloud embossing folder which I rainbox inked after embossing then put it back in the embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot one more time to redefine the embossed clouds. A fussy cut kite from an older Gina K Designs StampTV kit Vintage Chic, some wink of stella and a Tim Holtz die cut sentiment completes this card.

I will be sharing my card with the challenge at:

Happy BD!

Adding a masculine birthday card to my stash, I decided to focus on the word sentiment with the SimonSaysStamp Chunky Happy word die. I cut some strips of “scrap” 65 lb cardstock and glued it to a piece of copy paper then die cut the sentiment from the stripes, die cut the outline again from the pale blue cardstock and die cut the shadow from a sand colored cardstock. The layering panel was splattered with gold and brown inks/paints and for good measure a perfect pearls spray too. Of course all of that warped my card pretty badly and the ivory cardstock base was not of the heaviest weight but I think adding an inner panel of some better weight will help balance the weight. After adhering the word die, cut apart a sentiment strip and added a few enamel dots to complete my card.

Pastel Green

I had a previously made panel from powders on my desk and it was time to turn it into a card. Using Taylored Expressions Peace Within dies and add on dies for my focal panel over the pastel green and a tiny layered purple butterfly completes my card today.

Black Cats Prowl

and Pumpkins Gleam it’s time to get ready for Halloween……

Taking inspiration from the mood board I decided on some patterned paper from my stash that included the tree branch, spider web and spiders, then place Tim Holtz Stapers Anonymous layering moon mask stencil on the background and blended some Distress Oxide ink in Iced Spruce and Black Soot to darken the panel, removed the mask and added the moon feature stencil and lightly ink blended on top of that too. The cat die is an unbranded die from my stash and sentiment is SimonSaysStamp preprinted sentiment strips.

Birthday Roses

Hello and welcome. Today’s layout came from Dawn Ochefske. You can see her card here https://www.pinterest.com/pin/162974080258733493/.

The patterned paper was in my stash (I think for a very long time). Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program with clip art rosses added. Circle die is Stitched Circles by Die-namics and popped up. Corner gems are from my stash. Before making it, I practiced using another pp to make sure my measurements were right. This one will go to my sweet nail gal.

Under the Weather

A CAS card with just an extra bit of overlapping layer for my card today. After finding this red rubber mounted Penny Black stamp (4169K) Get Well Soon stamp in my stash, I inked it in Taylored Expressions Cookie Monster ink, cut some My Favorite Things Cloud Die-namics dies from cardstock and one from glitter paper and then inked, added a small side panel to my card base and this card is completed. I did find this idea from Penny Black for this design.

Penguin Gardener

April Showers!! are happening almost every other day lately so I found this “cute to me” old red rubber mounted stamp from Designs Unlimited named Penguin Gardener. I remember finding this stamp at a local stamp show and I got it on a discount because of a small defect with the flower stem. No problem I just die cut that part off! LOL. After stamping and coloring the image, I used a raindrop stencil from our Buddy Bonnie to add those big rain drops and located a piece of cardstock that seemed to mimic the colors and rain spatters and mounted to a piece of black cardstock. Sentiment is from an older Gina K Designs stamp set by Theresa Momber Up and Away.
