Cruisin’

It’s Spring! Time for flower and car shows and road trips!!! Taking some inspiration from those activities, I decided to use this Hampton Arts Art Impressions fun image and sentiment. Taylored Expressions Linen background stamp was inked with Gina K Designs Dusty Rose ink and stamped on my card base. The layering panel was die cut using TE’s A2 Postage Stamp stacklets die and ink blended in the same dusty rose ink. GKD ephemera was added to the corner of my image and my friends and I are ready for adventure.

The Four Seasons Challenge: Spring Season May 2024

I varied some from their mood board but did use pink for inspiration. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Royal Hugs

The challenge for May at Colorful Options is Royal Blue. I couldn’t quite seem to find the shade of royal blue in all of my inks so opted to make my Taylored Expressions Baroque Bouquet rainbow colored. The background was ink blended using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide salty ocean and spattered with a little water and white paint. Sentiment is also TE.

Still not royal blue but am really loving this TE set.

Pretty in Pink

and pretty in purple, too!

Mother’s Day cards for my daughter and daughter in law this year. Taylored Expressions Baroque Bouquet stamp and mask to make my cards today. I think this huge bloom is one of my new favs. The embossing folder was part of StampJoy, then the stamp was released along with the die and mask. Sentiment was from a SimonSaysStamp set.

steel trap

Hello and welcome. Yup, time again for d-o-s chuckle of the month.

Sentiment “My mind is like a steel trap, what goes in never comes out” was a statement hubby dear made one day. As soon as he said it, I thought that would make a good chuckle of the month card. I searched Google ‘old lady clip art’ for the image. Die cut squares are Stitched squares by Die-namic’s. For a little interest I scored the 4 corners.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

yellow tulips

Hello and welcome. Today’s card came about because I wanted to use my new no name die set that I bought on Amazon.

White layer was run through a Cuttlebug ef, tulips are from an online coloring page colored with Copic’s. Frame is popped up. Since my hands don’t work so well the coloring isn’t the best but I think is acceptable.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

ENGAGEMENT CONGRATULATIONS

Hello and welcome. A friend asked me to make an engagement card for their granddaughter, of course I jumped right on that.

The die cuts look grey in the photo, but they were cut from light blue metalic cardstock. Dies used are Opulent Swirls by Gemini, hearts are a small hand punch. Before die cutting I backed the metalic paper with double back sticky paper. My friend was very happy with it.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

bIRTHDAY fLOURISH

Hello and welcome. It’s been a few frustrating days with computer issues but I’m back in business.

Embossed background is a no name ef I bought on Amazon. Flourish is Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, with Wink of Stella for a little glitz. Sentiment was printed on the computer and punched with Modern Label punch by Stampin Up, pearls are from my stash. Label is popped up.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Butterflies

Three triangle card designs using Gina K Designs Sending Love pure luxury paper packs. Since I don’t have any double sided patterned papers I needed two designs from the same pack and these designs seemed to complement each other. I was able to get two cards from each 5×3-3/4″ paper of each design however one cut didn’t make it past the glue down. LOL! Top card uses a Tim Holtz stamp from his Butterfly Melange stamp set and sentiment from a friend, middle card is Gina K Designs Birthday Blessings stamp and die set and bottom card is Taylored Expressions Butterflies stamp and die set.

My patterned paper designed cards will be shared with:

Birthday Flip-it with Envelope

I was challenges to use ignored DSP to make a card or more than one card. I chose to begin with an envelope and then used the remaining paper to make a flip-it card.

The cardstock used is Fresh Freesia by Stampin Up. The DSP is also SU, but I do not know the name. One side is the floral print while the other is the print on the envelope. The greeting die is from The Stamps of Life as well as the Circle Flip-it die set. I used the envelope punch board for the envelope.

I will also enter this in The Sisterhood of Crafters: https://thesisterhoodofcrafters.blogspot.com/2024/04/april-24-springtime-designer-paper.html

I enjoy using these dies. The flip-it card is always fun to create and the recipient enjoys playing with it.
