Wobble Ghost

Hello and welcome. We just had a short but fun 2 day visit from our daughter & s-i-l celebrating our anniversaries. They had 28, we had 61. Now back to the craft room.

Being so pleased with the wobbler snowman card I recently made, I thought it would be fun to do a Halloween ghost one. Background, bats, pumpkins and ghost were all found online. I pulled all elements into my Hallmark card program and printed it off. I see now that I should have put the ghost a little higher. It’s been fun making the ghost dance.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe and cool.

Snowy Days

Playing along with a Shades of Blue theme hosted by our Buddy Johanna at Cardz 4 Galz and my mind went immediately to snow flakes in various shades of blue. It is easy to get four card fronts with Taylored Expressions Create in Snowflake Quads stencils. The layered stenciling is the easy part trying to add more interest is a little more difficult. My first card uses Sizzix Tim Holtz Santa & sleigh die and the sentiment is from a stamp set from my stash. TE sentiments were added to the next two cards and the last card I added a decorative acetate sheet to my card front and a few snowflakes.

My card today will be shared with:

Cardz 4 Galz #229 Shades of Blue challenge.

YGB Colors

One stamp and layering stencil = 3 cards in primary colors of Yellow, Green and Blue. My cards are part of Taylored Expressions June 2024 Combo Club release Time to Fly. The stenciled panel was cut into thirds (almost — LOL) ink blended in yellow, green and blue inks. My inks were, to me, close to the Stampin Up colors listed in the challenge. For each card, I stamped the panel in the same color ink as the cardstock and added either wink of stella or a spray of shimmer, cut a few butterflies and added a Gina K Designs sentiment to circle dies.

Wobble Head Snowman

Hello and welcome. I foolishly thought working on Christmas cards would make this heat more tolerable—I was wrong.

Looking on Pinterest I saw a wobble head snowman card that was from a Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin kit. Since I did not have that kit, I had to improvise. Background paper was found online and snowman is from an online coloring page, colored with Copic’s. I separated the head from the body then added a wobbly to the head. The added snowflakes are from small hand punch that I added Wink of Stella to for a little sparkle. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe. And stay cool and dry.

Butterflies on the Square

I normally do not make a lot of square cards but there is a Taylored Expressions Facebook challenge on their private page to make square cards. My 4-1/4″ square card started out as a 5″ square but the focal panel didn’t look right so I cut the card base down in size. I masked off my focal panel, then added some clouds and Taylored Expressions Aflutter stamp set for the butterflies and sentiment.

My card today will be shared with:

Triple B: Triple B July 2024 Challenge to include Birds, Blooms and/or Butterflies. I once again chose butterflies.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe and take care in the heat.

Blue Abstract

After choosing my Taylored Expressions Abstract Accents stencil and clear stamp combo, I decided on a few blending brushes that looked like they had blue ink on them. I positioned five different abstract shapes and added some ink from those brushes. Stamped a few of the images in black from the stamp set, die cut my TE Branch out die and added a previously stamped, embossed and die cut sentiment from my stash. I little splatter and spatter here and there and this card is complete.

My card today will be share with:

Waking Up

Hello and welcome. Time again for dear old sister’s chuckle card.

Background paper was found online, image is computer clip art fussy cut and popped up, scalloped circle is Spellbinders. After using a small hand punch for the stars, I added Wink of Stella just to the area of cardstock that would show behind them. Quote, “The best part of waking up… is still a mystery to me” was found on Pinterest.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

July Christmas

Christmas in July is coming up quickly. The deadline for Making Cards for the Troops Christmas cards is coming up quickly too. I need to get serious about making my Christmas cards for this group and this is a beginning. This card is all Gina K Designs and was entered into the July 2024 Monthly Mix Challenge on Gina K Designs & StampTV Friends private Facebook page. My card uses stamps from Christmas Wishes and Peace Love & Joy (free with purchase) sets.

I will also be sharing my card with:

Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge #67

The mood board had a lot of red, white and blue but I focused on the red color for my card.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, be safe and stay cool. Hopefully none of our friends are in the way of Beryl and West Coast friends are hanging in with all their oppressive heat! Lots of records being broken in Vegas and probably not just gambling!!! LOL!

First Anniversary

Celebrating with Simply Clean & Simple Challenge on their first anniversary. Congratulations Diane and Darlene for your awesome challenge blogs that keep me motivated to make cards. I’ll be looking forward to playing in your newest challenge this month and attempt to used my patterned papers without having to go out and buy any more for my stash!!!

My card today is for a sweet young couple’s 1st wedding anniversary that I will be saving for them until November. In my attempt to keep this card Clean & Simple, I die cut the Scrapman “Frame Love” die from the center of my focal panel, then embossed that panel with my swiss dot embossing folder, reassembled and found a greeting that fit inside my “heart” circle.

Today’s card will be shared with:
