Pink Out

I am wearing pink and supporting the warriors that have battled and put breast cancer in it’s place this month. I will be participating in a Women’s 5K walk/run on Saturday with a dear friend who will be 3 years cancer free this November. No running for this girl but definitely walking with a “Joy-ful” heart. My card today uses Unity Stamps Elegance of Hope stamp set, Gina K Designs Fight Like a Girl sentiment and patterned paper. I’ll be sending this to my friend in November to celebrate the date she rang the bell!

The challenge with Double D Challenges: To Spook or Not either Halloween or October Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink) is where I’ll be sharing today’s card.

This was the perfect time to move on from Halloween! Thanks for checking in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

Group Therapy

Hello and welcome. When I saw this quote, “Sometimes you just need a little group therapy with your besties.” I knew I had to use it somehow. I Googled witches drinking wine clip art and found this photo. After sizing it in my Hallmark card program I printed the quote. The top line doesn’t show well in the photo, but it does show quite well in real life. For a little more interest, I embossed the top card base with a Sizzix ef. Sorry I don’t know the name of it. I wasn’t too sure about it till hubby saw it and liked it.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Ghostly Hello

I think I’m getting my ghost on with this card! The ghostly background was made using Taylored Expressions G-G-G-Ghost stamp and stencil set. Stamped this background in black versafine ink and added their faces with the coordinating stencil. My first attempt was stamped in white pigment ink on black cardstock it seemed backwards to my eyes. I do think I’ll save that panel anyway. The keyhole and keys die set are Whimsy Stamps and a Gina K Designs sentiment from Haunts and Harvest and the Hello from a strip sentiment set. The 3 additional ghosts off set with a bit of color cardstock are also TE’s Ghost Gang stamp and die set.

Ghostly Boo

A card or two ago I saw ghost birds for the focal image and on my debossed background for this card I see octopi creatures instead of ghosts???The embossing folder is a SimonSaysStamp “Cute Ghosts 3D folder which I inked the individual debossed ghosts then swiped with black and brown Distress inks. The bubbling cauldron is a Taylored Expressions die set, and the ghost and sentiment is SSS Friendly Ghosts which was a bit of a challenge to line up and stamp.

Plain And Simple

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my sister-in-law. After seeing so many cards using scraps I decided it was time to try one. Circle was cut with Stitched Circles die by Die-namics. Before embossing with a Darice birch tree ef I printed sentiment on the computer. Circle and embossed layer were edged with a Copic marker. Surprisingly I kind of like it.

New Leaf

Using SimonSaysStamps’ Large Stitched Maple die as a stencil, I lightly sponged ink around the leaf outline, then diecut the leaf one more time from some fabulous pattern paper. Added a SSS die cut sentiment to complete my card.

Fall Leaves Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest granddaughter.

All I had in mind when I started it was to make it fallish. Patterned paper was found online, die cuts are a no name die set I bought on Amazon. Sentiment piece is popped up and the corner leaves are from a small hand punch with Wink of Stella added. I’m very pleased with it.

Ghost Birds

I was inspired by this image from other card makers a month or so ago and after some research found it was a freebie from Gecko Galz. My image was die cut using Taylored Expressions Arched Stacklets. After die cutting, I made several frames in black shimmer cardstock to frame the image. A piece of marbled carstock jumped out at me which I embossed with SimonSaysStamps Floral Field embossing folder. I swiped ivory pigment ink over the raised florals to make them pop a bit. Gina K Designs Fresh Cut Flowers dies were used for my flower and sentiment strip is also from SSS. I always seem to need a pop of color so added the tiny pink heart to the center of my die cut flower. To me the focal image reminds me of birds more than ghosts so I called them my Ghost Birds.

Happy Bee-Day Mini Slimline

I watched the Virtual Retreat with Not 2 Shabby recently. With the retreat came a special sheet load of cards sketch by Crafty Al. I made 8 cards with this sketch.

I like to decorate the envelope to match the card, if possible. This time I used the same bee on the envelope that is on the front of the card, as well as the inside. The patterned paper used is Echo Park Bee Happy. I chose SU Crushed Curry for the accent yellow and Accent White for the card base. I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut out the greeting. All stamped images are from an Ellen Hutson set called One in a Buzz-illion.
