Boo With a bit of Pink

Halloween and Pink Hearts???? Well I have pink and a heart so I was inspired by Two Old Bats Mood Board without losing the Halloween vibe. After watching a Mindy Eggen YouTube video on her moon background, my card includes Gina K Designs Friendly Silhouettes Sketched Flowers, SimonSaysStamp Happy Haunting and Taylored Expressions Gus & Gertie Halloween stamps.

I will be sharing my card with:

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge: February 2025 Anything Goes Halloween

Always fun to play along each month with Two Old Bats. Thanks for choosing my card as a Top 3 in January. Another round of icy weather tonight and the weekend……I’m ready for spring! Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time.

Friendly Faces

This card is made using mostly retired product.

I used Paper Smooches Best Buds stamp set, dated approximately 2017. I used cards found on Pinterest to guess the date as the company closed it’s doors a few years ago. This was created with the splitcoaststampers alphabet challenge in mind as we are on the letter F. The words from the list are foil and fold and my words are flowers and faces. This is a long favorite stamp set of mine. It has three words that fit the banner. I think this word is the one I have used the most.

This will be entered in the https://neglectedstuff.blogspot.com/2025/02/kick-off-challenge-225.html

I enjoyed creating this card. I love creating fun folds and using the supplies I own. As I type, snow is coming down. It is pretty coming down and I am thankful to remain indoors to watch.

Hanging Hearts

Red rubber mounted stamps are usually the most neglected product in my “elf” room but in the process of searching through my Valentine supplies I came across this hanging heart stamp. It’s an Inkadinkadoo Kathy Davis stamp that I am pretty sure I purchased at my local AC Moore store the beginning of my stamping hobby back in 2005…..wow 20 years ago. I’m still excited to be making and spreading cheer.

For my card the focal is that Inkadinkadoo stamp, Taylored Expressions Good Hearted Background stamp from 2022 and TE Endless Valentine sentiment from 2023. I really do wish I would have dated all of my supplies. Below is my not anymore neglected stamp!

My card will be shared in the Kick off Challenge for:

Stenciled hearts

I’m getting my heart on with some Valentine cards! My card today has a few layers and may need extra postage or probably my card for hubby! Top layer is Taylored Expressions Mosaic Heart die using pink glitter paper and black shimmer cardstock, the arrows were cut apart from another die in my stash. Next up is the stenciled layer and Simon Hurley’s Happy Hearts layering stencil, using pink ink on one stencil and “slippery when wet’ Lunar paste for the second stencil. This layer was popped up on a embossed lips panel then backed with black and finally on a hot pink note card.

My card will be shared with:

Scripty Stripes

What’s one more paper pad? Hard to resist especially a 6×6 variety of Valentine designs on sale and a voucher from my local Michael’s. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it!!! After choosing some patterns from the Sweet on You Recollections Valentine’s Day paper pad, I cut them into 1/4″ strips and staggered them diagonally on a sheet of copy paper. I added two gold TE decorative strips that were on my desk and layered onto some hot pink cardstock. The ephemera hearts were from my stash and the scripty love sentiment is Gina K Designs.

Today’s card will be shared with:

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello and welcome. I’ve been wanting to use different ribbons or strips of pp to make die cuts, so I finally did it. I cut 1/4″ strips of two different patterned papers, glued them to a piece of white cs then used Stampin Up’s Sweet & Sassy framelits heart die. Then edged it with a black marker. Back layered heart is from the same set with Wink Of Stella around the edges. I recently watched a video on using a circle punch so that’s what I did for corners. Embossing folder is from Cuttlebug. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Here’s the link to the punch video https://stamptasticdesigns.com/2020/05/10/fun-and-simple-way-to-use-circle-shapes-in-card-making/

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.

Hello Mistletoe!

A stencil challenge of using the word Hello and/or winter card theme was my inspiration for my card today. The stenciled background is Taylored Expressions Create in Quad Mistletoe stencils. This is one of four card fronts made with the quad stencil method. Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry ink and TE’s Poblano Pepper and Cherry Red ink for the stencil layers with Simon Hurley’s Bee Sting Lunar Paste for the final layer of my background. TE Framed Script Hello was die cut twice and cut out from the frame. The panels were die cut with Waffle Flowers A2 Lacy Layers dies.

Nostalgic Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for a friend that we see every week at our favorite restaurant, he’s the only man at a table for 6. The background page was found online. First, I cloned out the photo and words that were there then added his photo and my own words. I did all that in my Hallmark card program. The page has lists Of What Things Cost, Sporting Highlights, On Television, Stars Born, Top Songs, At The Cinama & Events. It was fun reading about those things.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.

Birthday Number 4

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our youngest great-granddaughter (who should still be a baby). When I started, I had no idea what I wanted to do except use her picture. Patterned paper was found online, frame is Spellbinders Classic & Scalloped Rectangles. Numbers are from an online coloring page fussy cut and edged with black marker. Corners were rounded for a little interest.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.
