Happy 32nd BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome, hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was quiet but very nice, and today our bonus gift is a 4-day visit from our daughter. We’re going to have some good mother-daughter time.

Today’s card is for one of our granddaughter’s. When I saw this sentiment, “For the 32nd time…. happy birthday.” I couldn’t resist it for her. Patterned paper was found online, die used is Spellbinders scalloped rectangle, sentiment was printed on the computer. This was very quick and simple and she’s going to love it. She has my sense of humor.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Green & Gold

A gold embossed snowflake tree layered on dark green SSS cardstock and sentiment. The snowflake tree is a SSS Glistening Snowflakes stamp set and sentiment from their Joyful Season set. The notecard edges were gold embossed also for a bit of a border. Hard to see but there are 5 clear baubles on my tree for decoration. This color reminds me of the car color I wanted when we purchased our first car after getting married……I ended up with a blue car, then a black car or two and now an octane red car but no green one….so this card is for Will (hubby). Wonder if he will follow my train of thought?!?!? LOL!! This is a good color for me!

My card will be shared with:

6th Birthday

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card is for our great-granddaughter. She’s been taking ballet for a couple of years so I was happy to find this pp online. The 6 is number clip art printed on pink cs, fussy cut, dry embossed and popped up. Before embossing the number, I edged it with a black marker. Corners of pp are rounded to add a little interest. This might be the easiest/quickest card I’ve ever made.

Glossy poinsettia

A Taylored Expressions Poinsettia and Pines embossing folder on a piece of glossy foil red cardstock layered on piece of black cardstock creates the focal background of my card today. A piece of black ribbon with some baubles, a TE sentiment and Sizzix poinsettia die completes my card.

Except for a few Christmas tags and a special card from hubby, I’m finished. Moving on to winter theme cards and a ton of January birthdays are up next for me.

My card today will be shared in the:

Can You Handle the Pressure: December 14th 2024 Anything goes with a twist of poinsettias and of course the required embossing folder.

Embossed Foil

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our grandson. He is so sweet, he told us he still has every card I’ve made for him since he was a baby.

I think foil works very well for masculine cards. Dies used for the center are Stitched Squares by Die-namics, Ef used is a no name from Amazon. To add a little interest, I embossed the top strips. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Stenciled Ornaments

Imagine my surprise when I shopped at my local Michael’s and saw layering stencils! And on sale no less! This was a nice additon to my ever growing stencil collection and quite a good price point too. A Taylored Expressions sentiment and some gold splatter for a bit of shine completes my card today and it will be shared with:

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. It was two days of rain in Pennsylvania and am very grateful that it was the other 4 letter word. Take care and stay safe.

Chill Out

Combining patterned paper from the Whimsy Stamps Chilling Christmas patterned paper with Halloween Day of the Dead Sugar Skull from my local Michaels for today’s card to be shared with:

Two Old Bats December 2024 Anything Goes Halloween Challenge

Using a Taylored Expressions Wonky Frame die and inking the edges with some purple ink and then a few layers of a TE diaganol stitched die for interest and TE’s Hexagon Stacklets for a landing spot for the wobbler sugar skull. Some extra flowers were popped up on the skull and in the left corner.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and stay safe.

Always fun to play along with the Two Old Bats. My November entry was chosen as a Top 3, too. I appreciate the recognition.

No more Halloween until January but get back and finish those Christmas cards and December/January birthday cards, too.

Turning 5

Hello and welcome. I’m still working on Christmas cards but just had to squees in a special birthday card. This one is for our neighbor’s grandson that they “share” with us.

His school picture from this year is the focal point. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. Since this little guy is fascinated with garbage trucks I just had to include a couple. After scoring the four edges I snipped out the four corners.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Classic Colors

Classic Christmas colors of red, green and gold with an unconventional patterned paper background with a whimisical die set just about sums up my card. I am determined to use the Whimsy Stamps Chilling Christmas patterned paper pack. It’s oddly cool and I may be ready for some unconventional cards. Aside from the patterned paper is the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bid Tidings die set and a color theme challenge from:

Colorful Options: December 2024 Challenge The December colors are Red, Green & Gold My gold is the die cut star on the tree and the ‘snowflake’
