Hello and welcome. This is the last pocket Valentine for this year. As usual the pp was found online and the bear is computer clip art. Bear was fussy cut, then edged with a black marker. Script was added in my Hallmark card program. What I really like about this bear is how the eyes look googly.

I have a winter Christmas card meeting a few challenges.
My bird has been colored for several months sitting the stamp case; I have several of these colored so this is the one I chose to use for this card. The set I used is SU Perched in a Tree, released in 2022, then retired a year later. I used matching dies to cut the butterfly, branch, and the Aspen Trees are in the die set. I followed a tutorial by Brandy Cox and altered it a bit. She used a white cardbase and I chose blue; she used embossing paste to make her trees wintery and I used Taylored Expressions clear glitter embossing powder. The background is stamped with Gina K Designs Powder Blue ink to add texture.
I am also adding this to the Triple B January challenge and the Four Seasons Challenge. Diane mentioned these in her comment.
This card is posted to the alphabet challenge with SplitcoastStampers. We are going through the alphabet using keywords that have to be on the card plus one of our own. I chose the word bird from the list and added blue from my own.
I hope to keep up with a few challenges this year to post to the blog. I have already caved on limiting my shopping and using my stash. I found some bargains that were calling me.
Splatter rule #1 — wait until the splats dry before taping to a card panel or you will end up with snow balls instead of splatter!!! LOL!!!! My pumpkin patch was made using Taylored Expressions Graveyard Shift dies, Memory Box Pasture Grass dies, TE’s Squiggle Stacklets, Copic Opaque White for splatter, sentiment strip from my stash probably SSS.
My card will be shared with, of course, one of my most fun monthly challenges:
The dynamic duo team of Diane and Darlene are at it again with another monthly challenge beginning in February Neglected Stuff Challenge Blog. Pretty sure I have a lot of those items and should be fun to ink up and use the “forgottens” in my stash.
Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, be safe and keep cozy.
Hello and welcome. Since my first pocket card turned out so well, I decided to make more. This one will go to our 3-year-old great-granddaughter. She loves dinosaurs. Both patterned papers were found online, and the dinosaur is computer clip art. After printing ‘Be My Valentine Bernie’ I fussy cut Dino. I still have a 7 & 5 year old great-grandson’s that will also get pocket cards. Hopefully they’ll like that there’s an easel back.

I’m adding to my supply of birthday cards with this Cuttlebug embossed background on black cardstock and swiped with white pigment ink. Then taking a section of a Taylored Expressions Time to Fly Combo Club stamp and stencil set and SimonSaysStamp Chunky Happy die, cut out twice, once in the stenciled carstock and once in black for the outline and then the shadow in vellum. Adding a scripty TE Big Happy Add-On sentiment and mounting to the card base my card is completed.
Since it’s just a single piece of 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cs I added an easel back so it could stand up. Pattern papers are Stampin Up, image is computer clip art fussy cut. There’s a heart border on the inside that is also clip art. This was really quite easy to make and I’m very pleased with it. This one will go to our 6-year-old great-granddaughter.

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is DOS’s first chuckle card for 2025. I found the sentiment, “I’m not making any resolutions. I think it’s time for the years to be better, not me!”, somewhere on the internet. For the image I Googled snarky women clip art. All the printing was done in my Hallmark card program. Embossing folder used is Seascape by Stampin Up.

Fun Fold card with lots of shine…..it’s like go bold or go home sometimes with me. This is a CASE of a Christmas card received from Johanna and a new stamp set gifted to me by a friend. With the images in the stamp set it could have gone nautical or space themed and I opted for more of a outer space 🙂 theme. Digging out my DCWV Natural paper pad from my stash, I decided on three different patterns, embossed the image on vellum and heat embossed with bronze embossing powder. After fussy cutting the arrow and gluing it in place I thought it looked liked a game board spinner. The note card also opens for a second sentiment and personal message. Thanks for the inspiration Johanna.
We had a few inches of snow today and while Will shoveled I put most of Christmas away! My forever tree stays up year round and the snowmen have been warned that it’s to the basement in storage if they bring too many winter storms. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe and keep warm. Brrrr….it’s very cold in Pennsylvania.
Hello and welcome. Don’t know about you but I’m glad the holidays are over.
Today’s card is for my b-i-l. Hubby thought gray was appropriate for a gray old man’s card. Inside sentiment is “Enjoy the last year of your 80’s”. Background paper was embossed with Cuttlebug’s Happy Birthday ef. Patterned papers were in my stash and I have no idea where they came from. Pinwheel squares were cut with my paper trimmer. Center ‘button’ is hand punched with Glossy Accents added. Photo corners are punched squares cut in half diagonally.
