Hello Mistletoe!

A stencil challenge of using the word Hello and/or winter card theme was my inspiration for my card today. The stenciled background is Taylored Expressions Create in Quad Mistletoe stencils. This is one of four card fronts made with the quad stencil method. Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry ink and TE’s Poblano Pepper and Cherry Red ink for the stencil layers with Simon Hurley’s Bee Sting Lunar Paste for the final layer of my background. TE Framed Script Hello was die cut twice and cut out from the frame. The panels were die cut with Waffle Flowers A2 Lacy Layers dies.

Crazy is our fame – STENCILS are our game!! January 2025 Stencil Fun Challenge

Another fun challenge. Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care, stay safe and keep warm. Yes, it’s still quite cold in Pennsylvania.

Nostalgic Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for a friend that we see every week at our favorite restaurant, he’s the only man at a table for 6. The background page was found online. First, I cloned out the photo and words that were there then added his photo and my own words. I did all that in my Hallmark card program. The page has lists Of What Things Cost, Sporting Highlights, On Television, Stars Born, Top Songs, At The Cinama & Events. It was fun reading about those things.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.

Birthday Number 4

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our youngest great-granddaughter (who should still be a baby). When I started, I had no idea what I wanted to do except use her picture. Patterned paper was found online, frame is Spellbinders Classic & Scalloped Rectangles. Numbers are from an online coloring page fussy cut and edged with black marker. Corners were rounded for a little interest.

Floral Hi

I have a card for the As You See It Challenge using their color theme.

https://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com/2025/01/339.html

I am trying to use stamp sets that I own and not used at all or much. This set was given to me, I put it away, and then didn’t think about it, so it went unused for several months. It is a called Love at All Times, illustrated by Lisa Hetrick for Gina K Designs. Lisa has a sheet on her website available for downloads giving ideas on how to use this set.

I stamped the flowers with Lawn Fawn Peach Fuzz ink. This set has several stamps where you can stamp the flower with color rather than color it with another medium. The dots are stamped with Lawn Fawn Raspberry ink which is a wonderful match for Berry Burst. The dots that are in the center of one of the flowers is inked with a Berry Burst marker, so you can see those two inks match quite well. The image was stamped with Lawn Fawn Storm Cloud ink and the light grey is Gina K Designs Moonlit Fog.

I enjoyed using stamp sets that need to be used. Thanks for reading and sharing in my card.

Valentine Squares

Hello and welcome. I got the idea for this card while perusing Pinterest. You can see that card here https://www.pinterest.com/pin/342555115426299413/. Cardstock is Stampin Up background paper was a piece in my stash. Heart dies are Sweet and Sassy Framelits by Stampin Up. Sentiment and clip art hearts were done in my Hallmark card program. Ribbon has been in my stash for years and since I don’t do much ribbon it took me some time to get the bow right. At first when I looked at the finished product, I thought it didn’t look right with the one red square covered by the heart but the more I looked at it the more I liked it.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.

Floral Trio Hello

I thought I would share my card here.

This has been posted to the Triple B challenge: https://dd-tripleb.blogspot.com/2025/01/triple-b-january-2025-challenge.html

I made this for the Featured Stamper challenge at SplitcoastStampers yesterday. Since I already posted one to the Triple B Challenge from this blog, I posted it from SCS.

I used SU Irresistible Blooms stamp set, matching dies, and patterned paper for this card. This is a new to me set. I purchased the stamp set used, but barely used, and then got the dies from SU as they were on the Last Chance list, formerly Clearance Rack, and the paper was given to me. Lost Lagoon is the blue green color of paper and ink used. The white is Accent White and the gems I found in my stash. The flowers and leaves were cut from the patterned paper.

It was a fun card to create. Here is the card that I used for inspiration: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/882194?cat=fav

I turned her card layout and made mine portrait, rather than landscape. I chose to use flowers rather than butterflies and used a die to make my dots, rather than patterned paper.

We are in the frigid weather outdoors, so that means I will remain indoors spending much time in my stamp room. I did hear the birds singing, which is always a plus.

Snowy Bear

It’s snowing outside my house all day and this cute Taylored Expressions bear was sittting on my desk for some time. So when the Double D Challenges: White on White challenge caught my eye I figured it was the perfect time to use this image. I made a mess on my floor die cutting snowflakes with a variety of dies including SimonSaysStamp, Hero Arts Fancy die for my center circle and some unknown dies from my stash while watching football. Taylored Expressions Bear Hugs stamp set, stencils and dies were used for the polar bear. I didn’t want the bear to get lost in all of that white so added a bit of color to the scarf and sentiment.

Another fun challenge from Double D Challenges along with their inspiring mood board. Happy to play along with them.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Snow shovels, layers of clothing are gathered for tomorrow we will be clearing out from today’s snow. It looks pretty but I’d much rather have those dustings to an inch annoying storms. Take care, stay safe and keep warm.

3D Bouquet

I have discovered that not all 3D embossing folders are equal in size and depth. I’m always trying to figure out the sandwich for my BigShot and 3D eb folders holding my breath not to force anything. The Baroque Bouquet 3D embossing folder from Taylored Expressions gives a nice dimension and levels of embossing. This is TE stamp set, coordinating stencils, die and embossing folder. The TE Fineline Vine background stamp was inked with versamark ink for a tone on tone look and TE’s Wavy Stitched Stacklets for a bit of a design border. Sentiment strip was friended to me.

My card today will be shared with:

Slam Dunk Valentine

Hello and welcome. Today’s card for our 15 year old great-grandson. Yup, you guessed it, he plays basketball for his high school. I looked at a lot of basketball Valentine’s online to come up a design. Basketball, net and hearts are computer clip art. For the ball I printed off a basketball and punched it out with a hand punch. I used an exacto knife to make a slit at the rim of the basket so I could tuck the ball in to make it look like a slam dunk. For a little interest I rounded the corners. It was printed in my Hallmark card program.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.
