Delivery!

Making a city Christmas delivery with my card today. Most holiday cards seem to use forest and snowbanks as their background but I thought I would try to create a city background using Hero Arts City Heroscape stamp/die. Distress Oxide inks for my night sky and a Gina K Designs stencil with white pigment ink. I took inspiration from the mood board by featuring the Stampendous pick up truck and presents. Sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

My card will be shared with:

Peace on Earth Christmas: Challenge #98

Of course after I loaded the presents into the pick up truck, I realized I should have used the tree included in the set and it would have represented the tree being delivered to Rockefeller Center in NYC. Oh well!!! I was thrilled that my card on the last challenge was a Top 3! Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care; stay safe.

Stay Sit Heal

One of my favorite get well stamps that has been neglected for quite some time but it is a good thing that I didn’t have a reason to dig up Art Impressions Doggy Kisses stamp set out of my stash and make a speedy recovery card. I’ve been trying to organize all of my supplies and came across another very neglected item which is Spellbinders Labels 8. After die cutting the image, I left the paper in the die and remembered the old trick to blend around the edges with ink. And finally more neglected patterned paper from my stash. My card today will be shared with the fun:

The Neglected Stuff (10/25) Challenge

This is a great challenge to find goodies that have been neglected but still are fun to use.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. My card will be going to a dear girlfriend who had shoulder surgery. She’s a dog lover so I’m sure she will get a chuckle out of this bandaged up dachshund.

Hello Fall

A fall leaf embossed card that really became a challenge for me to complete! I used a piece of Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Grateful Heart patterned paper and embossed it with SimonSaysStamp’s Fall Foliage embossing folder. Well since the patterned paper was on the darker side, I took some white pigment ink and swipe over the raised areas to bring out the leaves…..that really didn’t work so I added some dark brown ink….better but not enough so the final swipe of ink was TE’s tropical punch. It kind of gave a patina vibe to the panel. Still not satisfied, I cut a piece of ivory carstock which is the same as the note card and embossed it, then die cut it with Taylored Expressions All Planned Out 1 die set, ran the bottom section back through the embossing folder once again. Better! Added a strip of cardstock over the seam of the two panels, tucked in some leaves left over from TE’s Awesome Autumn stencil/die from a previous project and TE sentiments from by stash.

My “phew finally finished” card will be shared with:

Fall Hello

Fall is definitely in the air in Pennsylvania. It has been crisp, windy and invigorating weather. And for my card, I dug deep into patterned papers and found Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Grateful Heart paper which was die cut using Taylored Expressions All Planned Out 3 die set. After adding the word die from the All Planned Out 3 set, I grouped a bunch of leaves and acorns which are also a TE stencil/die set Awesome Autumn.

Stayin Alive

There was time for one more Halloween card and I decided to go to a Whimsy Stamps patterned paper pack for this fun design, die cut the Tim Holtz word die several times after deciding that I liked the black layer the best and added three skeletons from Taylored Expressions Stayin Alive stamp/die set. creepy orange and black

Hello and welcome. This turned out to be a very fun card to make. I love those creepy little guys from a no name die set I got on Amazon and thought they might make a fun fractured card. Bats are from a Tim Holtz die set. Sentiment square is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. Background paper and sentiment were both found online. The strips were cut using an antique photo paper cutter.

Hello and welcome. Thought it was time to get a start on Thanksgiving cards. Embossed layer was run through a Sizzix ef, window die is Grand Madison Window from Memory Box, image and leaf border were found online. Window frame is popped up, sentiment was printed on the computer. Both the leaf border and sentiment strip were fussy cut.

Ho Santa

It’s beginning to look alot like……This is such a busy time for card making with Halloween, Fall/Thanksgiving and Christmas and my workspace has a bit of all three of these holidays mixed together on it. But today’s card will be all about Christmas. Taylored Expressions Ho Ho Holidays tall Santa is a layering stencil and die set, HO HO HO is a Spellbinders that I’ve had for quite awhile and it was time to use it. The background stamp is SimonSaysStamp’s Holiday Word stamp.

Birthday Arrow

Hello and welcome. I thought it was about time to try a different fold. Thank goodness there were measurements posted on Pinterest. Patterned paper was found online. Before adhering the pp I edged the pieces with a marker matching the cardstock color. Flower is from a small hand punch with Wink of Stella added for a little sparkle, center gem is from my stash. Sentiment was printed on the computer and punched out with Stampin Up’s word window punch and mounted on the modern label punch.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.
