Happy Eighth

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our great-grandson. The idea for this card came from Pinterest. To add a little texture to the white layer I scored diagonally every 1/2″ in both directions. Balloons are from the Silhouette. Since my handwriting is so bad I had hubby write the letters on the balloons. Circle dies are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic circles. Sentiment and number were done on the computer. Balloon strings are from my stash. Card is 5 x 5. I was a little worried about how it might turn out but I’m very pleased with it.

Happy Anniversary

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our friends. For some reason I really wanted to make a corner fold card. Patterned paper was found online, label dies are Rectangle Stitched Framelits by Stampin Up. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program, gems are from my stash. I’m proud of myself, I didn’t add even a little snark to this one. lol

Grouchy Pumpkins

Hello and welcome. I’m following in buddy Gayles footsteps by making a Summerwheen card.

Background paper was found online. Pumpkins are from an online coloring page colored with Copic’s and fussy cut. The two stacked pumpkins are popped up. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program, then I tore the cs around the sentiment and spooked it up using a cotton ball and Chocolate Chip stamp pad and popped it up.

Thinking of You

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our daughter’s m-i-l who was just diagnosed with lung cancer for the third time. The first time she had surgery and chemo, second time just surgery. This time it’s inoperable so she’s having radiation treatments. I want her to know we’re thinking of her and hoping for the best.

Patterned paper was found online, labels are Spellbinders Labels 1, sentiment was printed on the computer. Labels are popped up. I’m very proud of myself for cutting only one piece of pp wrong.

Happy 55

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our son-in-law. Patterned paper was in my stash, die cut square is Stitched Squares by Die-namics, printing was done on the computer. For the 1/4″ strips I ran a piece of gray cardstock through Stampin Up’s Corrugated Dynamic ef. before cutting.

Since we live in Sun City and he really enjoys coming to visit, the inside of his card says, “Congratulations, you are now eligible to live in Sun City”. I’m such a sweet m-i-l.

Three Point Anniversary

Hello and welcome. I finally got the courage to try making a three point card. Unfortunately, when I had it all done, I realized I didn’t leave a border around the inside patterned paper. Well, I decided it’s going the way it is. This is for our daughter & s-i-l’s 29 anniversary and they’ll forgive my mistake.

Patterned paper was found online, Dies used are unnamed stitched ovals that I bought on Amazon. Die cut sentiment is popped up.

Beach Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card was started last week with some input from my daughter. She picked out a little beach girl from an online coloring page, but my fingers were not cooperating with coloring. The arthritis in my fingers has been pretty nasty lately so I’ve been wearing compression gloves most of the time and using markers doesn’t work too well. So, I looked for beach girl clip art on the computer. Puppy was in my stash. Girl and puppy were fussy cut, clip art beach ball was punched with Stampin Up’s 1 1/2″ circle punch. I printed Happy Birthday on the ball before punching. Sky was made using a cotton ball with Soft Sky stamp pad and a handmade paper cloud template. Ocean background paper was in my stash. To tear the wavy edge, I used an old tearing tool from Stampin Up. Paper for the sand was found online and I tore the top edge. Since my daughter helped me with the layout but I didn’t finish the card while she was here I will send this to her for her birthday.

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome. Yay, another Christmas card done. PP is Echo Park, center die is Stitched Squares by Die-namics, center ornament is computer clip art. Sentiment was printed on the computer and punched with Stampin Up’s Modern Label and word window punches. It might be a little much to have the pp strips on top of the green, but I like it.

In about an hour we’re heading to the airport to pick up our daughter. I’m so excited.

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. I was in need of a sympathy card, so I looked on Pinterest for ideas. I found several using this Tim Holtz corner die and I really liked this layout. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program then I did the die cut. Butterfly die is Flourishing Elements by Gemini. I put double back adhesive on a piece of cardstock before cutting the butterfly.
