Polka Dot Birthday

Hello and welcome. This is the layout that popped into my head when I found this piece of pp in my stash. To add a little texture to the white 5 14 x 4 panel I diagonally scored it every 1/4″. Circle dies are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic circles, sentiment was printed on the computer. I was happy with the finished card and hubby liked it too. This will go to one of my longtime friends.

Merry CHRISTMAS

Hello and welcome. Finally, I got around to making a diagonal split card. White panels were embossed with The Paper Studio’s snowflakes ef., pp was found online. The poinsettia embellishment is computer clip art fussy cut and popped up with Wink of Stella added for a little glimmer. Sentiment dies are Spellbinders and cut in both black and red. Before die cutting I added double back adhesive to the cs. I also added Wink of Stella to the sentiment. I’m very pleased how it turned out.

Expired 30’s

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our grandson-in-law. Background panel is embossed with Cuttlebug’s Happy Birthday ef, circle dies are Stitched Circles by Die-namics. Numbers are from an old Sizzix, Sizzlit alphabet set that I’ve had forever. Sentiment “We regret to inform you that your 30’s have now expired.” was found online. I have used that sentiment before for different decades.

Good Old Friend

Hello and welcome. Time again for dear old sister’s chuckle card. Image and sentiment “Hey, my good old friend. I was thinking of you just the other day… What’s your name again.” were found online. I added score lines to each side for a little interest and to make it look like I actually did something making it.

Halloween Queen

Hello and welcome. Everything for this card was found online but on different websites. It took me more than a few tries to get the image and sentiment sized and placed just right. I used Prisma Colored pencils for the “queen’s” face, the rest or her coloring was done with Copic’s. This was really kind of fun to put together.

6th Anniversary

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for one of our granddaughter’s & hubby. The anniversary background paper was found looking online at anniversary gift wrap. Sorry I don’t have a name of the die used for the center panel. Corner hearts are from a small hand punch I’ve had for years. At first, I had the hearts punched from glitter paper but didn’t really think they looked right so I punched some from the same blue cardstock then added clear Wink of Stella for a little glimmer. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. I’m not really happy with it but it’s better than the first one I came up with.

Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome. After seeing several cards with this layout on Pinterest, I just had to try it. I wasn’t too sure about the end result, but hubby likes it so I guess it’s ok. PP was found online, die cuts are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic circles, sentiment is computer generated, gems are from my stash. This probably took longer than it should, but I was having a little problem getting the folded corners just right. Measuring and folding are not my strong suits.

Singing Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my BFF since 3rd grade. Musical background paper was found online, and I add the words on the computer. I rounded the corners and used a marker on the edges of the pp. This was so quick and easy I really feel like I cheated big time. She liked it and that’s what counts.

20th BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome. It’s hard to believe but our oldest great-grandson is turning 20. YIKES!!

After embossing white cs with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday ef, I colored it using a brayer and black stamp pad. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program then cut with Stitched Squares die from Die-namics. This is the first time a made a fractured card with an embossed background. I wasn’t too sure about the finished product till hubby said he really liked it.
