Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome. After seeing several cards with this layout on Pinterest, I just had to try it. I wasn’t too sure about the end result, but hubby likes it so I guess it’s ok. PP was found online, die cuts are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic circles, sentiment is computer generated, gems are from my stash. This probably took longer than it should, but I was having a little problem getting the folded corners just right. Measuring and folding are not my strong suits.

Singing Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my BFF since 3rd grade. Musical background paper was found online, and I add the words on the computer. I rounded the corners and used a marker on the edges of the pp. This was so quick and easy I really feel like I cheated big time. She liked it and that’s what counts.

20th BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome. It’s hard to believe but our oldest great-grandson is turning 20. YIKES!!

After embossing white cs with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday ef, I colored it using a brayer and black stamp pad. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program then cut with Stitched Squares die from Die-namics. This is the first time a made a fractured card with an embossed background. I wasn’t too sure about the finished product till hubby said he really liked it.

To Do List

Hello and welcome. Time again for d-o-s chuckle card. As usual, sentiment, image and background paper were found online. Sentiment “I made a huge to do list today… I just can’t figure out who’s going to do it.” Dies used were bought on Amazon. It’s so fun making snarky cards for d-o-s.

I’m so excited, tomorrow we’re going to MN for our granddaughter’s wedding on Fri. The ceremony will be outside with the reception in a big red barn. If it rains the ceremony will be moved inside. It is going to be so fun I can’t wait.

Happy 90

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for a good friend. For milestone birthday’s I like to find background paper with the number on it so for this paper I Googled ‘gift wrap 90-year-old’. There were several patterns to choose from, but I liked the colors in this one. Luckily, I had cardstock in just the right colors to match the pp. Card base and 1/8″ strips are Smokey Slate cs, cardstock for the numbers and 1/4″ strips is a piece I found in my stash. Center die cut is Stitched Squares by Die-namics, numbers are from the Silhouette. To make the numbers stand out a little more I used Glossy Accents on them.

Thainking of You

Hello and welcome. The challenge at Just Us Girls this week is to CASE a design team member. I chose to case Vicki. While searching through online coloring pages I came across the same image Vicki had used. Coloring was done with Copic markers, then for a little interest I scored double lines on all 4 edges. Sentiment die is one I bought on Amazon; sorry I don’t have a name for it. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. Once finished I actually liked it.

Happy Halloween

Hello and welcome. Today’s card happened because I just can’t resist making Halloween cards. Background paper was in my stash, creepy guys are from a die set by ALLIBBON bought on Amazon, bats are from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die set. Before die cutting, I added adhesive back paper to the cs. Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. I used the Tim Holtz distress tool on the background paper then used a cotton ball with black ink to darken the edges. I am pretty happy with this one.

Distressed Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our grandson-in-law. After finding this distressed look pp online I thought this layout would be perfect. The pp pieces were cut with my antique paper cutter giving the edges kind of a torn look. Die cuts for the sentiment are Stitched Squares by Die-namics, sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program. Die cut is popped up. I used the Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges of the white layer. I wasn’t too sure about it, but hubby liked it, so I guess it’s ok.

Thanks

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for a very dear friend. After getting a new cell phone that’s bigger than the one I had I asked her to crochet me a new pouch for it. I always have the pouch with the phone in it hanging on my wheelchair, so the phone is always with me.

Patterned papers were found online, sentiment die was gifted to me. The sentiment is popped up. I’m so proud of myself, this is the first time I was able to actually print the papers double sided.
