don’t need Google

https://cardsbygerry.blogspot.com/

Hello and welcome.

Time again for dear old sister’s chuckle of the month. Hubby told me about a sentiment he’d seen on a t-shirt “I don’t need Google… My wife knows everything.” He suggested I change it to my husband knows everything for a d-o-s chuckle card. She loved it and agreed with me that my hubby actually believes it. Embossing folder used is from Stampin Up, image is computer clip art, frame is Stitched Ovals by Di-namics.

french fry batman

Hello and welcome. No card today just this french fry treat holder. Our next-door neighbor “share” their 3-year-old grandson with us and for some reason the little guy expects a treat from me each time he comes over. Hmmm, wonder how that got started. Since Riley has Batman jammies and T-shirts, I used computer clip art to make Batman stickers. It’s so much fun making little treat holders. I found the template for the french fry box on Pinterest.

grim reaper

Hello and welcome. Well, I thought it was time to get back to the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.

Background paper was found online and using my Hallmark Card Program I printed Happy Halloween on the top. Moon is an old circle hand punch, bats are a wood base rubber stamp from Stampin Up (I’m sure it’s been retired many years). Grim Reaper, who I popped up, spooky tree and witch were all found in my Halloween stash. Reaper is a Tim Holtz die, tree is from the Silhouette, witch is an old punch I no longer have.

pocket change

Hello and welcome. It feels so good to have the COVID symptoms pretty much gone and getting back to creating.

Today’s card is for our grandson who just moved from his parents’ home to his own apartment. We figured he could use a little cash getting set up. Actually, there will be more than $1 in there. lol

The pocket is computer clip art that I printed on in my Hallmark card program then fussy cut. Background piece was run through a stripes ef by The Paper Studio then I lightly sponged Night of Navy stamp pad so it wasn’t such a stark white. Corner grommets are from my stash. I haven’t used grommets for so long I forgot I even had them.

anniversary love

https://cardsbygerry.blogspot.com/

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our son & d-i-l’s 31st anniversary. I’ve had this Gemini Opulent Swirls die set for a while now, but this is the first time I used it. Before making the die cuts I add double back adhesive paper to the card stock. That makes these intricate die cuts so much easier to adhere. Card base is the same color as the die cuts and the white background is textured card stock.

carrot chomper

https://cardsbygerry.blogspot.com/

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 5 year old great-grandson. Pp was found online, bunny is from the Silhouette. My first thought was to make the bunny a wobbler but then since his arm swivels I decided to put a carrot in his hand instead of an egg and thought it would be kind of cute for Matthew to be able to move the carrot to and from the bunny’s mouth. Bunny is popped up with mounting tape. Carrot is computer clip art that I fussy cut then used a decorative scissor to cut the tip to look like the bunny had taken a bite. Tail has brown Fun Flock from Stumpendous and of course I couldn’t resist the googly eye. “Happy” was printed on the computer. For a little interest I cropped the chick in the egg from the pp then added to the oval. “Easter” is computer clip art. Oval punches are from Stampin Up.

bunny with egg

Hello and welcome. This has been kind of a bad week for me, I had a nasty reaction to antibiotics. But, that’s in the past now…. on to creating.

Today’s card is for our 4-year-old great-granddaughter. Pp was a just the right size scrap in my stash. Embossing folder used is Stampin Up. Oval dies are Spellbinders Scalloped and Classic Ovals, sentiment ovals are Stampin Up punches. Sentiment was printed on the computer. Bunny image is from an online coloring page. I used Prismacolor pencils for the bunny and Copic’s for the flowers and egg.

Hello and welcome. Here I am with another card using foil. Embossing the foil didn’t work out too well for me last time, so this time I mounted the foil on cs before embossing and it worked much better. Today’s card is for our son. Zig Zag ef is from Stampin Up, die cuts are Spellbinders Classic Diamonds, corner strips were cut on the paper trimmer. Number candles were found online and sentiment was printed on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy and safe.
