Fractured Thank You

Hello and welcome. There’s a group of 8 people that are always at our favorite restaurant the same night we are. Two of the women are really good bakers and when they bring in dessert for their group (and the staff) they always share with us. Last week, on Valentine’s Day, they brought two desserts and not only shared with us, but also our friends that were with us.

Both patterned papers and the clip art thank you’s were found online. Die used is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. I didn’t want them exactly the same, so I made one a 5×5 square.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Faux Twisted Ribbon

Hello and welcome. Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of faux twisted ribbon cards and just had to try it. Card stock is Blushing Bride from Stampin Up, pp was found online, ef used is Cuttlebug’s Happy Birthday. I’m thinking of sending this to our daughter-in-law, but I need some honest opinions of it first.

Happy Valen-Wine’s Day

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for dear old sister, her chuckle of the month.

Patterned paper was found online, wine glass is computer clip art that I added a clip art smiley heart to. Die cuts are Stitched Ovals by Die-namics. Sentiment was found online. Inside says “Because you can’t drink flowers.” She loved it.

Happy Birthday To You

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our favorite breakfast server. Since she also sings in band, I thought a music theme card would be fun. The whole staff at this restaurant are almost like family.

I went online to find music note patterned paper. After downloading it to my Hallmark card program I added the Happy Birthday song. It needed some kind of embellishment and I just happened to have a small music note punch in my stash. I experimented with using Glossy Accents or Wink of Stella on the punched notes but decided I liked the notes just plane.

Valentine doily

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for my sweet nail gal. She is so accommodating if I have to change an appointment.

I saw this design on Pinterest, and I just happened to have that Stampin Up pattern paper book and I also had a couple doilies in my stash. Circle dies used are Spellbinders Classic Circles. Sentiment was printed on the computer with some clip art hearts added. I’m very happy with it.

Ribbon Heart

Hello and welcome. The idea for today’s card came from Pinterest. The cards I saw had strips of pp paper under the cut-out heart but when I looked at my ribbon stash on the wall, I thought why not use ribbon. After printing the sentiment and cutting the heart, SU’s Sweet & Sassy Framelits, I ran the cs through the SU hearts ef. Small hearts are hand punched from glitter paper.

Smiley Face Valentine

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our 14-year-old great-grandson. Now all 5 great-grandkids are taken care of. I saw this layout on Pinterest, minus the smiley hearts. Center strip was embossed with Stampin Up’s dots ef., punched hearts are SU Sweet & Sassy framelits, pp from my stash, smiley hearts are computer clip art. This was really quite easy.

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate your time. Have a great day and stay healthy, safe & warm.

Masculine Valentine

Hello and welcome. I’m making 2 of these, for our 24-year-old grandson and 18-year-old great-grandson. The idea for this one is from perusing Pinterest. Wood pp is from my stash. I scored it every 1/2″ then used a fine point Sharpie to blacken the score lines. You can tell that’s what I did by how wonky they are. Large heart is from the Silhouette, small heart is a hand punch. Both hearts were run through a stripe ef. Sentiment label is a no name die I bought on Amazon and it’s popped up. Small heart and label were edged with a sponge dauber and black stamp pad.

Get Well

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest granddaughter who is having thyroid surgery. I saw a card on Pinterest with this sentiment and similar images. The images are all computer clip art and I added the smiley face to the bottle. Frame was embossed with Stampin Up’s Seaside ef. That’s the only ef folder with lines I have that would fit a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of cardstock. Inside say’s ‘And a speedy, uneventful recovery’ and a little personal note. Another very easy card.
