Congratulations Kaden

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our oldest great-grandson. Actually, he finished his classes in Oct. but decided to wait and walk with his class to get his diploma. He’s now going to school to go into law enforcement. We’re all very proud of him.

The design I first wanted just didn’t work for me so off to plan B. The school colors are red & white. Luckily I found this pp online. Sentiment was printed on the computer and red caps are clip art. Red brads were added for a little interest. This is very plain & simple but I like it.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

Birthday Roses

Hello and welcome. Today’s layout came from Dawn Ochefske. You can see her card here https://www.pinterest.com/pin/162974080258733493/.

The patterned paper was in my stash (I think for a very long time). Sentiment was printed in my Hallmark card program with clip art rosses added. Circle die is Stitched Circles by Die-namics and popped up. Corner gems are from my stash. Before making it, I practiced using another pp to make sure my measurements were right. This one will go to my sweet nail gal.

2 Baby Showers

Hello and welcome. Recently my granddaughter asked me to make 2 baby shower cards. She bought baby bathtubs and filled them with bath time supplies. She sent me pictures of how she packed them so I could see the color schemes and patterns.

The first one is a shaped card from the Silhouette. Patterned paper was found online, The yellow cs straps were run through a striped ef. For the buttons and top trim, I fussy cut rainbows from the pp and added Wink of Stella. The second one is 5 x 5 square. Again, pp was found online, and the elephant towel is clip art, cover photo of the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See was also found online. Footprints are a small hand punch. She loved both of them.

Id Please

Hello and welcome. Time again for dos’s chuckle. I found the quote on Pinterest. Background paper was found online, ovals are stitched ovals by Die-namics. Below is the full quote.

“Last night I ordered a glass of wine with my dinner, the waiter asked for my ID. I replied “do I look that young?” The waiter said “No, I just wanted to see if you qualified for the Senior Citizen discount.”

BasketBall Birthday

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our middle great-grandson. He loves playing basketball.

Background paper was found online. Circles were cut on the Silhouette and the center one was run through a Cuttlebug ef. The basketball is computer clip art and I added the 15 before printing it, then backed it with another circle and popped it up. I used a Stampin Up punch for the ball.

Rising hand

Hello and welcome. I tried to load this to the Two Old Bats Halloween challenge but I had a problem and couldn’t get it on there.

Black cover and border are from the Silhouette, corner bats are from a Tim Holtz Halloween die set. Border is popped up. The moon background was found on Google Halloween moon clip art. Card base is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4, overlay is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. I’ll be making my own envelope for this one. You can now say you’ve seen green bats. lol

Anniversary Rocker

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our son & d-i-l. Their anniversary is the day after his birthday.

While going through my stash I found this scrap of pp that I thought would make a nice anniversary card. Card base was cut on the Silhouette, circles are Spellbinders scalloped and classic circles. Sentiment & clip art roses were printed on the computer. There was just enough of the pearly trim in my stash to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe.

pinwheel birthday

Hello and welcome. After seeing some pinwheel cards on Pinterest I thought I’d give it a try. Patterned paper is from a 6×6 book from Stampin Up. Squares were cut using Stampin Up’s paper trimmer, center circle is a no name stitched circles die. Sentiment stamp is Gina K’s Birthday Blessings, fussy cut & popped up.

This is for our son. Inside sentiment is very simple… “Enjoy the last year of your 50’s”. Next year’s card will be really fun. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate you taking the time. Have a great day and stay healthy & safe. Happy Easter.

With Sympathy

Hello and welcome. Our grandson-in-law’s grandma passed away this week, so this is the card I made. Die cuts are Flourish Thinlits by Stampin Up, embossing folders are both from Cuttlebug. Sentiment was printed on the computer, and I added score lines on top and bottom of panel. Inside sentiment is a combination of 2 different sentiments found on Pinterest. I don’t think I ever embossed the inside of a card before, but I think it adds a lot here.

Just a fun little note… our granddaughter told me how she loved her grandma-in-law and thought of her as her grandma Gerry away from home. She is so sweet.
