Just Because

Hello and welcome. For some reason I wanted to make a fractured card with a garden like background. While searching Google I found this picture and I just happen to have the right color cardstock. Sentiment square is Stitched Squares by Die-namics, with clip art flowers added. Strips were embossed with a scallop ef by Stampin Up. I am very pleased with this one.

Merry CHRISTMAS

Hello and welcome.

Today’s card was very quick and easy. Background paper is a winter scene picture I found online. Snowman is from an online coloring page colored with Copic’s and a little white fun flock on the hat. Snowman is popped up. Sentiment die is Spellbinders cut from blue glitter paper.

Happy 60th BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome. Today’s card is for our niece. It’s unreal how fast these kids get old.

Again, background paper was found online. Center die is Stitched Squares by Die-Namics, sentiment was printed on the computer. The 1/4″ strips were run through Stampin Up’s Seaside embossing folder for a little dimension. Inside sentiment “At 60 years old, your birthday suit requires regular ironing.” was found on Pinterest.

Welcome Antonios

Hello and welcome. A friend asked me to make a simple card to welcome her newest great-grandbaby.

Embossing folder used is hearts by Cuttlebug. I embossed white cardstock then I sponged Bashful Blue stamp pad over it. Hearts are Sweet & Sassy Framelits by Stampin Up, footprints are computer clip art. Corner footprints were punched with a small hand punch. You’ll probably notice the name in the title is spelled a little different than on the card, well, she gave me the wrong spelling at first, but I did correct it. I just didn’t scan it again before it was mailed.

Birthday Dots & Flower

Hello and welcome. I saw a card like this on Pinterest and thought it would be fun to make. After starting it I realized it would fit two challenges.

The 2 background pieces were run through the dots embossing folder by Stampin Up. I used a piece of the polka dot paper for the background layer on the flower. The white flower petals are also embossed and popped up, center of flower is a small hand punch, gem from my stash. Flower square is from the Silhouette and both squares are paper pierced. Sentiment was printed on the computer.

Fractured Halloween

Hello and welcome. Time for another Halloween challenge.

For the background I Googled Halloween backgrounds, skull image is clip art. Die cut is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. After cutting the 1/4″ strips I ran them through the Seaside ef from Stampin Up, then sponged them with black ink. Cardstock is Stampin Up’s Pumpkin pie. For a little interest I sponged the edges of the card base.

Sewing and Reading

Hello and welcome. Today’s cards are the last 2 for our grandkids special gift.

Our oldest granddaughter has her own business making therapeutic corn wraps, so I thought a sewing theme was best for her. Die cut is Stitched Ovals by Die-namics. Half circle corner pieces have Wink of Stella on them but that doesn’t show well in the photo. Spools of thread are clip art.

Card with books is for our middle granddaughter who loves to read. She started “reading” books when she was 3. She now has quite a nice library in her house. Corners were punched with a small circle punch, label is Spellbinders. Both background papers were found online

l & d nurse

Hello and welcome. This is the second grandkids card. This granddaughter is a labor & delivery nurse. Hats in the center are clip art. Die used is Stitched Squares by Die-namics. Thank goodness for the internet, it makes my card making much easier.

Going Solar

Hello and welcome. This summer I will be giving each of our 4 grandkids a special surprise gift, so I am making a personalized card for each of them. Today’s card is for our grandson who installs solar panels.

Luckily, I found this picture of a man installing solar panels. Name tag and corner strips were cut with an antique paper cutter and sponged edges with Night of Navy. The “things” on the name tag are solar tools I found online. Jake will know what they are, but I sure don’t.
