My card today will be shared with this challenge and it includes: Taylored Expressions Blooming Botanical layering stencils, Beautiful Butterflies die & foil-it combo, SimonSaysStamp’s Heart Garden background stamp and the Hello die with shadow. Batty Coin

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge

Most Magical Time of the Year Challenge 6

The Halloween stamps and supplies are always within in reach with now not only one monthly challenge but two! I will be sharing my card today with the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge – March Anything Halloween challenge and a newer to me Most Magical Time of the Year challenge blog #6 which is either anything Christmas or Halloween Artist Trading Card or Coins! So of course I had to google this ATC and decided on making a ATCoin and attaching it to my card front and was totally inspired by Two Old Bats Halloween mood board for my card.

After die cutting a 2-1/2″ circle, I used a SimonSaysStamp bat stencil and versamark and green embossing powder (probably hard to see), then decided for some reason to add the bloodshot eyeballs (now it looks like a black moon). This was my ATCoin part of the Magical challenge. Back to the card, found my Hero Arts bat background stamp and stamped in veramark again and embossed with Taylored Expressions glitter green embossing powder. Die cut the Whimsy Stamps Drippy Frame die which was lightly sprayed with Tim Holtz Twisted Citron Distress Oxide spray, SSS sentiment strip and Taylored Expressions bats from Gus & Gertie halloween stamp and die set completes my card today.

Double D Challenges

Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenge #15

Can You Handle The Pressure

I’m having fun pulling out the GREEN and making some St Patrick’s Day cards. Using inspiration from Stamp Buddy, Lisa K and her recent post of her Hinge Fun Fold card, I’ll be sharing my card today with the Double D Everything is Coming Up Green challenge and the Paper Dragonfly Creative All that Glitters is Green and Gold challenge and Can You Handle the Pressure Embossing Folder with a twist of anything with wings.

Using SimonSaysStamps Clover Wreath Stencil, Cuttlebug Argyl embossing folder on green glitter cardstock, a scrap of argyl patterned paper, SSS sentiment strip which was foiled in gold, stamping and gold heat embossing embossing and fussy cutting out 3 dragonflies from Gina K Designs’ Dreams Take Flight stamp set and an Inkadinadoo fussy cut Garden Gnome stamp holding a die cut glitter clover completes my card.

LUCKY ME

Colorful Options: March 2023

Green is the color of this month’s Colorful Options challenge blog and I love it! Our grass is still green-ish thanks to hubby’s paint job, still not covered in snow and as a redhead a favorite color of mine.

For today’s card that will be shared with Colorful Options, I pulled out a piece of Gina K Designs patterned paper from my stash, a stamp and die from the GKD Luck & Love card kit from a year past, dotted swiss embossing folder and Taylored Expressions sentiment from Shake your Shamrock stamp and die set. The leprachauns sprinkled some gold splatter on my card on their way over the rainbow…..I think they may have made a mess though! LOL!

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe. 17 days until spring and we are still waiting for the first real snowstorm to hit us in Pennsylvania.

Clean Circles

AAA Cards Challenge #234

Cardz 4 Galz #193, Red, White and Pink Color Challenge

Trying to get motivated by playing along with a few challenges. I think the AAA Cards Clean and Simple Challenge #234 to include circles is me right now! The Cardz 4 Galz #193 challenge is a color challenge to include red, white and pink. I blended these two challenges together and will be sharing my card with both blogs.

The stencil I used was something I picked in one of the big box stores some time ago,I think, I separated it into three different sections of circles. Using Gina K Designs Cherry Red ink and fading out to SimonSaysStamp’s Cotton Candy ink, adding a cotton candy dragonfly from GKD’s Dreams Take Flight and stamping a GKD Lovely Notes January card kit sentiment in black with a few touches of wink of stella completed my card.

Red, White, Pink and CAS with as much open space as I can manage completes my card today.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe. The first of two storms may be heading our way. Maybe 1-3″ of snow, sleet freezing rain tonight followed with something for later in the week. We shall see!!!

Candy Cane Plaid

Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge # 34

A fun new Christmas challenge and mood board filled with lots of red and white stripes for inspiration has been posted on the Peace on Earth Christmas blog. My candy cane card, well candy cane plaid card, will be shared with this challenge. To create my plaid background, I used the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Plaid set of three dies times 4 to complete my panel. Originally I cut a square white panel for the center, added my Catherine Pooler Stamp of Approval Candy Cane Lane stamps & coordinating dies and cut my foilage using Tim Holtz Sizzix Large Funky Festive dies glued everything in place and then came to the conclusion that I didn’t like the finished product. I carefully deconstructed everything, tossed the white square, cut four more red kaleidoscope plaid panels, added a vellum oval and completed my card. Things happen! After adding a sentiment strip I decided that I liked this second attempt much better.

Puffin Party

Double D Challenges: Birds

I am along with the Double D Challenges blog and their BIRD theme with my card today. This SimonSaysStamp Party Like a Puffin was a freebie during STAMPtember for me and I finally got around to inking it for this challenge. Yana Smakula recently did a YouTube for Simon on this stamp set so I was inspired by her as well as the Bird challenge. Taylored Expressions Party Popper layering stencil was used for my partial background. I used some leftover ink on my brushes for this soft stenciled background.

Don’t you just love Tweety Bird! ” I twat I tawa puddy tat! ” LOL!! Poor Sylvester! It still cracks me up! Fun mood board.

Kitty Love

Crazy for Cats: Challenge #4

A new to me sister challenge blog to Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges for those cat lovers and owners. A cute and different challenge. Several cats have been our owners over the years but unfortunately after PennyLane we are cat-less.

My stamp set is an adorable release from Taylored Expressions “Endless Valentine”. A little bit of layering and a few additonal hearts complete my card today. My card will be shared with the Love My Cat challenge at the Crazy for Cats challenge blog.

Hearts Happy Mail

Can You Handle The Pressure

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Darlene and Diane on the fun embossing folder challenge blog. It’s always fun to play along with your girls.

A few more Valentine cards that probably may not get in the mail this year unfortunately. My embossing folder is from Darice and patterned paper was from my stash. I had some really cute ephemera that matched nicely with the Happy Mail theme. If I made one of these barn door fun fold cards, I think I made at least three or four of them. Am I stuck? LOL.

Outside and inside view of another barn door flap using Taylored Expressions rotating heart stencil and sentiment strips from a recent “kids” kit (that I kept). Die sentiments from Gina K’s newest kit and the same Darice embossing folder but the debossed side. I couldn’t decide which way the lips should go??? See what I mean!! Stuck!
