Feather’d

My card today uses some Taylored Expressions products including The Thing with Feathers stamp set, Scenic Sentiments, and Diaganol Stitch Rectangle Stacklets as well as SSS Seafoam and Surf inks. This card of support will go to a dear girlfriend who is waiting for test results on GrandBaby to come.

I’ll be sharing my card today with:

Word Power: Word Power #3 where the challenge is to focus on the sentiment of the card.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. My “extended” birthday will be complete on Tuesday when Will and I go out for “linner” at The Cheesecake Factory. LOL…..before I know it I will be getting ready for the next one if I keep on celebrating!!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping in for a peek. It’s chilly but sunny today after a day of rain and more rain. Take care and be safe.

Hoppy

I collected all of my supplies, set the timer and began making my card. When I went to post it to a speed themed challenge, I realized that theme was not only speed but flowers, too! So moving on, I realized since I did use a stencil for those little tiny bunny tails it would fit in with the Stencil Fun Challenge. My card uses Taylored Expressions stamp and stencil combo “Be Hoppy” The stamp makes the background and the added stencil adds the tails which I inked in multiple color inks. Using TE’s Postage Stamp Stackletts to die cut the bunny background and die cut the Fancy Happy Easter word sentiment and shadow dies which is a SimonSaysStamp die will complete my card.

My card will be shared with:

Crazy is our fame – STENCILS are our Game: March 2024 – Stencil Fun with an optional Easter/Spring theme.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

P.S. I did make this card under 10 minutes, barely, but still under 10 not back to the drawing board to figure out how to do a card under 10 which includes flowers!!

Cocktails?

Smoky, green cocktail with an eyeball olive, anyone? My card today will be shared with, yes, you may have guessed the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge. The mood board included lots of green and I decided on a witch’s green brew stirred not shaken!

The martini glass is an online coloring image to which I added color. A spider doily was used in certain areas as a stencil and added a little splotches of black for a smoky look. Die cut three spiders from a Tim Holtz die set, mounted my focal image on green glitter paper, cut a piece of my St. Patrick’s Day patterned paper and mounted on a piece of shimmer black.

Oh and yes, an eyeball in place of the olive was quite necessary.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge – March 2024 Anything Goes Halloween

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. More crazy weather is heading our direction when the rain stops tonight, the March winds will begin and then maybe more springlike for the middle of next week. Take care and sending green hugs.

Snarky Riley

A few more St Patrick’s Day cards. I ordered a St. Patrick’s Day kit from Riley and Company which included the overlay die and some pieces of cardstock to create 3 cards with instructions. The patterned paper is really nice quality and the die cuts out so easily. And the snarky message cracks me up and made me think of our Buddy Gerry.

I’m not sure if this would be appropriate for our 13 year old grandson but the leprechauns may trick me into sending it to him anyway.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and green hugs!

Fractured Greens

I finally broke down and bought some St. Patrick’s Day patterned paper from Amazon and opted to make a fractured style card showcasing those patterned papers. Sentiment is Taylored Expressions, leprechaun is from my stash and he was a challenge to fussy cut because of his size, added a few stickers from my stash and used Taylored Expressions Simple Strips die. Of course, I was inspired by our Buddy, Gerry, to join in the fractured card phase.

I would like to share my card with:

Colordful Options: March 2024 — Celebrating the color Green

I have way to many projects started on my work space so I need to either finish or clean up! I’m hoping to finish 🙂 Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

Round and Round

Circles, stripes, dots are in order for this masculine birthday card. A few challenges have popped up that I wanted to play in so I searched my embossing folders for some circles. Using the Tim Holtz Alterations Retro Circles embossing folder for my background on GKD Sandy Beach cardstock, I then die cut some patterned paper from my stash in a dots background and striped background layering them on navy cardstock. Sentiment is GKD Sweet Sentiments will complete my card today.

Thanks for stopping in for a peek. I appreciate you and your time. Take care and be safe.

We are on that roller coaster of weather again. Above average temperatures with lots of rain, then boom a 20 degree drop with high winds. Not sure in March will come in like a lion but I’m sure it will be an interesting weather month.

Fun Fold St Patrick’s Day

Another St Patrick’s Day card and this one will definitely be going to our granddaughter Brooke who still “knows” that the more you add to a card the absolute best it is!!! A fun fold card that I came across from Lisa’s Stamp Studio and her Easy DIY Accordion Flip Card Using Designer Paper. I’m still scrounging around for some St. Patrick’s Day themed papers but shopped my stash for my card today and came up with lots of greens! The front panel is Taylored Expressions Luck of the Irish foil It panel which was foiled in gold foil then ink blended in rainbow colors. The pot of gold is also TE’s Rainbow’s End dies. The second picture is the opened card and left includes, Tutti Designs Paylful Leprechauns die. I cut off the third leprechaun because he didn’t fit and fussy cut the pot after die cutting in gold. The little ‘stars’ are also TE’x Rainbow’s End die set. The middle sections I opted to continue with a rainbow pattern which was from a SSS kit I believe. Sentiments are also TE and small shamrocks from my stash. Finally the last panel was stamped with Gina K Designs Best of Luck stamp set and the sentiment is Penny Black’s Irish Luck. Phew!!! A lot of card and a lot of different products but I’m sure my Brooke will like it.

Today’s card will be shared with:

Green Check

Patterned paper, embossing folder, touches of gold with a sentiment is everything needed for my card today. The green checked patterned paper was from Gina K Designs stash. After embossing the patterned paper with SimonSaysStamp Kaleidoscope 3D embossing folder, I stamped the shamrock image and die cut as well as the sentiment from GKD’s Luck and Love stamp set, adding a Taylored Expressions A2 Thin Frame cut in gold cardstock to complete the card.
